Xbox 360

Famitsu as always is the first magazine to get informations about the latest japanese games. They already have this 2 page article about Taito's World Airforce, with lots of new images to look at.
Update : Better quality scans.

Thanks for this ! Looking good.
Does anyone know, how has the Ace Combat series sold in Japan ? Just wondering how popular these Jet Fighter games are over there..

I found this article on the magic box.

Famitsu listed the Top 10 most successful game developers in Japan, rated by the number of software sold in 2004.

Here is Namco's placing

[#] [Publisher Software sold] [Num. of titles] [Most notable title]

[1] [Game Freak] [3,999,760] [3] [Pokemon FireRed / Leaf Green]
[2] [Nintendo] [3,558,079] [13] [Famicom Mini series]
[3] [Level 5] [3,231,288] [1] [Dragon Quest VIII]
[4] [Capcom] [2,244,576] [9] [Onimusha]
[5] [Konami] [1,867,314] [3] [World Soccer Winning Eleven]
[6] [Omega Force] [1,696,286] [3] [Sengoku Musou]
[7] [ArtePiazza / Matrix] [1,611,155] [1] [Dragon Quest V]
[8] [Namco] [1,059,371] [6] [Ace Combat 5]
[9] [Sammy] [902,105] [1] [Jissen Pachislot Hisshouhou]
[10] [Hudson] [833,318] [2] [Mario Party 6]

[Edit]
Sorry if that looks a little confusing, basically Namco are ranked 8th most successful developer of 2004 and shipped 1,059,371 units, they have produced 6 individual titles and the most notable of those titles is Ace Combat 5.

That's about the best I could do as to answer your question tonto, but judging by these figures its easy to see that Ace Combat and games of that genre are quite popular in Japan.

I wouldn't say that Tonto. After all, this is an other game. Who sais the quality can catch up with the fab Ace Combat games?

Well I did say Might have... so of course nothing is certain. This game could be really bad, but its at least a game type available in Japan that might get someones interested in 360.
