I'm hoping this will be more pure. Hopefully taking advantage of weather and track conditions.
But yeah, V8 Superstars isn't great...
at least it isnt all "extreme" and americanised like DiRT.
I have high hopes for this game, but I'd be very dumb to expect the game to meet the expectations. I just wish we had a decent--true--rally game this generation. DICE would be THE developer to go to for a game like this, but oh well.
Dirt one took a step back as far as all that was concerned, hence why some people thought it was a new visual feature in DiRT2. seriousloy tho, the old mcrae games had rain, and a variety of track types. DiRT doesnt have either. it has splashed windscreens and dust/gravel. you dont realise how much i hate what codemasters did to the series tbh.
this is the best we've got atm tho, no-one else seems to be interested in creating a pure rally title. so whether this new WRC is any good or not, it isnt like we have any other choice, other then what is in GT5. at least WRC will have the propper tracks and licences tho. something even mcrae didnt have.
It's a shame rally genre doesn't get more attention.

If the latest build is anything to go by, the rally part will be special.
You won't need another racer.
Oh, ok thanks for cleering that up for me.
Please say this is a mistake (I never thought I'd see the day when Un-fucking-Charted 2 get's brought up in a RALLY thread???!!!!)
I'm sorry, I've actually been put off even thinking about entertaining this game, purely by how many times it gets shoved into an argument).
PS: SBK and V8 superstars haven't got great ratings but I hope this will be their best game.
