Milestone has just announced that WRC will be available on October 8th on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. So get ready to drive all over the 550km of the 78 rally stages from the 13 countries which are featured in the game. Meanwhile, here is a new set of images.

London – 12th July 2010

Black Bean Games today announced the final release date for WRC, the only official FIA World Rally Championship videogame. The game is being developed by Milestone and will be available in stores on the 8th of October for PlayStation®3, Xbox®360 and PC.

For the first time in five years the official WRC videogame is back and will be available in formats for home consoles and PC with an exclusive package representing all the official licensed cars, drivers and co-drivers from the current WRC season and from all support classes: P-WRC, S-WRC, J-WRC.

Petrol-heads, motorsport enthusiasts and WRC fans alike will experience a unique game that delivers a realistic and accessible driving model. The game features 78 different rally stages and over 550km of varied road conditions from the 13 countries which host a round of the WRC. Also available for the first time is the new “Road to the WRC” career mode presenting the opportunity to compete for 50 different trophies. In addition many online multiplayer game modes combine to make the WRC game an epic motorsport adventure and the ultimate rally gaming experience.

I realy doubt abuot it's realism. Creators have "tunel" track editor that is why it looks like you drive an arcade track. And wheres the damage on rally sim? a? Also visualy it doesnt look anything special. This will be (another) rally game for sure.

I'm hoping this wil be the rally version of Race Pro(I know they're not the same dev).....crappy visuals, buggy as fuck but great realism on gameplay.

I think you guys are being a bit harsh. It looked to me. For we know that gameplay footage is from the Arcade mode.
I think the graphics in the screenshot look very good and even the gameplay footage looks pretty good.
I think we should at least wait for a proper hands on preview from judging the game.

Yeah, that gameplay vid only shows how bad the helmet/cockpit view is(hope it improves a lot). Gameplay-wise I can't judge until I play the demo(hopefully soon).

I liked the fact that we have all WRC classes available, including Production WRC(Armindo Araújo FTW !!!). Here's hoping te career is done properly implementing all these classes.

Rallisport Challenge 2 is the best rally game ever. After watching that video of this game, I'm so disappointed, and so it looks like we're not getting a decent rally game for a LOOOOOONG time.

possibly the most fun, but it was far too arcady imo. richard burns was one of the best. even the original WRC games and mcrae games.

Rallisport was more arcadey by choice than need, it clearly had the best physics compared to a game like WRC and McRae which are by all means not simulators and had weak physics compared to RSC.

RallySport FTW!! I NEED another one. I probably won't buy another race until that comes to me. Too bad my old xbox isn't working anymore, because I would be hooking up RS2 right now. At least make it backwards compatible...

dont agree, but whatever. prefered the games i listed. rallisport was a nice arcady distraction, but nothing particularly great as far as rally games go.
