Xbox 360

And here is the Perfect Dark Zero gameplay video you've been waiting for. Shot during the X05 conference as usual, this video showcases some co-op gameplay on the top of a big urban set.

Microsoft is making a big mistake by hyping this as the Xbox 360 system seller. It really dosn't look that great.

So - there you have it - it SUX big time !!!

plastic looking bumpmaps - remind me of the Doom 3 or Riddick
cheesy ragdoll behavior
low res textures
bad animation - look when she crowls the ladder - absolute crap
no next gen gimmicks like moving hair or something
and the gameplay itself looks rather dull - Timesplitters like !

only good thing - fast framerate - but with graphics like these it's not THAT achievment !

Oh, and don't tell me how good James Bond or PD were - that's true, but long long ago !

Look at Kameo and Oblivion if you want a next gen launchgame !

im sorry but i dont agree i think the gameplay looked phenomenal and the way they implement picture in picture on live is amazing. This game looks fun to take online the graphics are good....not amazing but good and i think it deserves its props....did you guys see the draw distance?? never in a game have you been able to stray that far away from your partner and lay cover fire like dat on a console

You had me until you say Oblivion looks more next gen than this, that's bollocks. At least this game sports some insane scale without slowing to an absolute crawl like Oblivion does.

That said, I still think this game is sort of promising. I will reserve my complete judgement until I see direct feed HD.

I'm really shocked at how poorly PDZ is coming along. Rare's other game, Kameo, has come a long way, and has become an Xbox 360 must buy, while PDZ has continued to dissapoint. I was expecting a big turn around for this game, but Rare did not deliver. So please people, STOP HYPING THIS GAME!

Cheesy ragdoll behaviour? It was tight as hell, the death animations were great and they segued into the (proportionally weighted) ragdoll very smoothly.

This video proves that the game just cannot be represented properly with still screens.

Have you seen the 20 min Oblivion video - it's quite smooth - despite the best forest in videogame history - i would say 20 - 30 fps - for me - that's enough for a RPG
And don't forget - the vid is more than five months old (E3) - so let's wait and see how this game has come along !

And you can't deny the artistic quality and beauty of the gameworld and the attention to detail - something that's completily lacking in PDZ !

Umm, it's kinda lame and chessy. i'd expect something more if this is the title to represent the Xbox360.

Wasn't too bad.

Rekindled some of my interest, now it just depends who will come out top over the next few weeks. Perfect Dark Zero or Call of Duty 2?

I'm still unsure of which one to buy.

Landshark; I just disagree, I don't find token western RPG environments like CASTLE, WOODS, WASTELAND particularly "artistic" at all. I can totally see the appeal of Oblivion in other areas such as the immersive quality a game on that scale offers though.

Anyway, that's a different game, this is PDZ and so.. I've been watching this clip over and over now and I've decided that graphically, I think it looks awesome. It's stuff that I didn't really notice at first, but when I watch stuff in the background.. the solidity of everything and the way light reacts to stuff in the game, it looks really good. Plastic characters? I dunno, I think it works.. it's a stylistic choice, not a flaw, the same way you don't expect DOA to look realistic.

I do have some reservations though. The cover mode doesn't really have my seal of approval yet. You seem to have to HOP OUT such a rediculous amount to shoot, and it just comes across as twitchy in this trailer. Sort of like Headhunter: Redemption twitchy if anyone's unfortunate enough to have played that piece of rubbish.

Apart from that, context sensitive actions are neat, and the Riddick style third person stuff when you perform actions is also welcome, although the way she climbs looks a bit headache inducing.

It could still be pants, but I think it's likely that it isn't.

I would really have wanted a cinematic in-engine trailer to go with this and get my juiced flowing though.

Speaking of juices, I think Joanna looks pretty rediculous in that get-up, and I hope the story warrants it. I mean, sure, she's not an agent at the beginning of this, but I didn't think that meant Kelly Osbourne meets Xander Cage.

-Gameplay was very interesting. - Somebody said that textures was low res . I think that everything in the game that i could noticed was very detail maped - i have to see more gameplay to have a more clear idea about - does everybody guys knows if we are going to have more footage at the next days?

X05 hurts MS more than helps. Are these "final" versions of the games? It would really give me no reason to buy the XBOX360. I kinda have lost interest by seeing the frame rates drop and skip. I'll wait and see before I buy.

Its pretty much the final versions of the game, and yes I agree with you...M$ is being hurt at X05 more than anything...Maybe I should just keep the $400 and wait for the PS3...unless M$ can show something truely next-gen besides GR3 and Oblivion...

The graphics in PDZ are actually very good, but due to the design and animations being so plain and uninspiring, the visual quality of the game is ruined.

The gameplay perfectly matches the design. Dull and uninspiring. There was absolutely no strategy involved. The enemy AI is complete crap. They just stand there and do nothing. Not to mention the weapons look weak and as a result, kills aren't satisfying in the least.

Miscrosoft is making a big mistake relying on this game.

Your kidding right? MGS4 was unimpressive, as has all the other realtime stuff shown for the PS3, nothing that couldn't be done on the 360.

Yeah, but then again, Rainbow Six Lockdown was a mediocre game (in my opinion) and its done rather well...I see people playing it online all the time. I think alot of people go out and buy games without checking first to see if the game is "good" or not. I dont know, I just don't think PDZ is going to be the "next big thing"...lol
