RPGs are already very time demanding and Xenoblade Chronicles games are some of the biggest RPGs. This also avoids the much busier end of year period, so the spotlight on it will stay for longer and it will lead to much more engagement from people, gaming sites, streamers, Youtubers, word-of-mouth, etc.
Companies should start spreading games releases more equally throughout the whole year. Games have a much more better life cycle today, so they keep selling for longer than before. No need to cram everything in Q4.
For example, it works wonders for Sony, who likes to release its games around February, March, April, May, June and July. Means they usually don't have many other big contenders to steal sales from their games. Smart strategy all around, which more companies should follow suit.
