Lost Planet Fastest Xbox 360 Million Seller

Friday 12 January 2007 - even though Lost Planet is out in stores across Europe from today onwards, its doing extremely well. Fisco has stated that the game, made by Capcom, has sold over 1.040.000 copies in the US and Europe together, and has therefore reached the one million limit in no-time.

Before the launch of the game, Capcom made a prognosis, hoping to sell the game at least 740.000 times. They have therefore reached and passed this amount by far on the european launch day. We ourselves were also very enthusiastic about Lost Planet, you can check our review here.

Wow. There is something that certainly needs to be said as a testament to a quality pre-release, playable demo (or two) and an aggressive pre-order campaign.

I just hope that other publishers are looking on, and learning a thing or two.

As I said in another topic, that article mearly states that over 1 million copies have reached the shelves, they haven't been sold...

I bought the collectors Edition for EUR 74,99 y'day and I'm amazed - was worth every cent, though I haven't been able to listen to the soundtrack so far ;)

Those tracks arent even comparable against the tracks in the game itself, except Opening Movie, Main Them.

whether it sold or shipped 1 million .this shows theys a HIGH DEMAND for the game.i'm glad this game is gating attention. that was one of my worries that it would go unnoticed

i expect this game to sell alteast 1.5 miliion by the end of the year

Sold means "sold to retailers" not "sold to consumers". But for Capcom that's the only figure they actually care about. Once its sold to retailers Capcom goes to the bank.

Hmm, this game could have been good. Turned out to be very mediocre. It will still sell... giant monsters sell, but its nothing to shout about.

It is quite wierd to save a man that was inside a VS passed out, and then ask "we need someone who can pilot a VS" then the main character says "I can" because we got saved while he was in the VS. I dont know why they just didnt ask him, rather just say it outloud that they need someone who can pilot one.

I didnt think of that part...ah well, its great anyway =P!

game is stunning though and plays a dream when you crank up the speed of the aiming

Right. So they just assumed that he'd forgotten everything about piloting VS suits. And when you see someone passed out in a car, airbag in their face, and their car plowed into a tree, are you going to ask them to give you a ride on the highway?? I'm pretty sure they assumed he was a pretty crappy VS pilot and didn't expect to see him after the 1st mission.

Phaethon you cant compare driving a car and piloting a VS. Sure he got memory lost, but he can still ask Wayne if he can pilot one. If you see a person crashed in a car, I dont think you want that same guy driving again, I wouldnt it.
It doesnt matter if he is crappy or not, they wouldnt know how good or bad Wayne is, they didnt know anything about him, so might as well ask him.

Anyway, small stuff like this shouldnt blow out to big ones, I personally dont care, either way is fine with me.

He crashed his VS. Pointing to the fact he's a crappy VS pilot. Why WOULD THEY ASK A CRAPPY VS PILOT TO HELP THEM? They didn't ask Wayne to pilot one. He said that he could pilot a VS, so they gave him the job. You don't ask a crash victim with amnesia to get up and do the same thing again. You just don't, Sath.
