As for the characters, each has full self-shadowing and a level of detail never-before-seen in Call of Duty. Get close to a soldier and you can actually read the time on his watch. Once you know it's not time for bacon and eggs, you can cast your eyes on the uniform and its rich level of detail. Breathe down the neck of a U.S. Marine and you will see realistic-looking flesh. You might even see them sweat.
More impressive is that all of this works in a frantic environment. The chaos of modern warfare has AI Marines screaming ooh-rah as gunfire echoes through the ruins of a Middle Eastern city. There are explosions left and right, enemies around every corner, helicopters spinning out of control and crashing in a fiery wreck. And all of it happens at 60 frames per second.

Don't ask any questions just shut up and buy Halo : Ghosts of the Onyx one of the greatest books ever.
My 5 most anticipated titles are COD4, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6, Unreal Tournament 3, Bioshock.
Turn down the suck!

"You're being arrested for drunk driving."
"Drunk definitely, I don't know if you could call it driving."
There's no doubt in our mind that Call of Duty 4 is by far the best-looking first-person shooter on the Xbox 360. The game features some truly stunning lighting effects, from the lightning we mentioned above to "god rays" streaming through the bullet holes in the walls of buildings. All of the character models look impressive too, from the fabric on their uniforms to the nifty self-shadowing effect. We had a chance for a nice, slow walkthrough of a village in Azerbaijian, where we noticed incredibly realistic foliage and some of the the best particle-based cloud and smoke effects we've ever seen. Amazingly, the game is almost locked in at a buttery-smooth 60 frame per second, and the multiplayer looks almost as good as the single-player action.
AND, yay! Party system from a third party... remember how COD2 & 3 didn't have true lobbies? I'm hoping this one does.
This could be great!
And campaign co-op would be fucking uber.

I must admit that here, 60fps look really smooth, though usually i do not notice it.

I'm not too concerned w/ the match making, since I'm gonna play it on Windows, but that is great news for console gamers. Sounds like they're paying a lot more attention to the online mode this time around.
