PGR4 with motorbikes

Microsoft today released the final US boxart for Project Gotham Racing 4, which will be released exclusively for Xbox 360 later this year. We all know that PGR4 will feature tons of great, high-performance cars but there have been some rumors that PGR4 would feature motorcycles as well.

Microsoft nor Bizarre Creations denied or confirmed this rumor but if you look at the PGR4 boxart you can see a motorcycle in the reflection of the car behind the PGR4 logo. Does this mean PGR4 will indeed be featuring motorcycles for the first time ever in the franchise?

We will probably see a lot more of the game at the coming E3, which is finally beginning next week. Maybe Microsoft will show off some motorcycling action!

Wow. I'm glad Bizarre aren't falling into the 'feels like the same game' routine, this combined with weather effects are a significant step forward.

If it's a fake, it's a good one!

Didn't see anything come out of MS on GamesPress though. That could be because the EU/UK boxart is different however.

And PGR boxart is about class, not... [whatever's subtly suggests un-classyness].

PGR3 set the bar for sexy boxart and this would be a slide tackle drilling itself underground.

Well, I don't see a Ferrari in the box, I don't believe it. Not saying bikes won't be in the game, but it is a scary thing. They did say we should expect a different vehicle we wouldn't expect in a PGR3, so maybe yes. They have to get the handling just right though, or else they'll just be a waste.

Actually -- look at their website, that seems to be the official logo now.

I've always described this franchise as car porno, and I hope they keep that tradition. I don't mind bikes if they play well and they don't pit them up against cars in the same events.. I honestly don't know what to think. I guess we'll find out soon.

If they introduce bikes to PGR then they'd better make the bikes handle more like MotoGP than TDU.

I understand why Bizarre wants to add some new stuff. If you worked for 8 years on the same series (including MSR), I think you would want to throw some fresh elements to it. Adding motorbikes certainly is challenging, but I believe they'll get it right.

We can hope they get it right.. it sounds like they're doing a lot of new things this time around though. The different weather conditions could add a lot of variety to the game.

Ohboy.. So there are bikes..

Reading the hands-on from Gamespot got my excited though.. PGR4 is bassicly PGR3, but then with 5 added tracks, added bikes, weather effects, more gamemodes, and overal better graphics..

I think this game simply cannot go wrong.. All I'm a little bit worried about is the balance between the bikes and cars, and that the bikes handle properly.. But I have faith in BC getting it right, they won't f*ck up PGR..

I'm just wondering how collision between bikes and cars will be...

Two cars sandwiching a bike...
A bike doing an endo, only to be tossed into the air by an enzo ferrari going 200mph...

Sounds fun, and not fun. But I just hope it looks good.
