I guess most developers are not using 100% of Cell or Xenon, but Cell might have an advantage as Developers have an early start at digging deeper into the PS3 to compensate for the weakass RSX. This might give them the advantage in inventing new techniques to truly take full advantage of the PS3 hardware where as 360 development sticks to traditional PC regime where once the Vid Card is maxed out, developers say thats that limit and give up.

Infact any gamedeveloper talking such nonsense actually makes himself look bad in some way.. Like why didn't they use the full power of the console then?? That's just dumb!! But offcourse they did, because every next-gen game pushes a console in some way, it's just that overtime developers learn more & more tricks to get the most out of a console, hence the % BS.. It's your typical gameconsole BS PR talk, and it's laughable.. Sad part is, the fact they still use that talk proves it works, many consolegamers still believe that crap..

Imagine PC game developers say, our game only uses 30% of your Core2 Duo E6600 and 8800GTS.. LOL!!!

Whatever..

no offense man, but you are a developers nightmare. :P

Anyways, I think the game looks really nice, i dont really care how much of the ps3 its using, just as long as it all adds up to a quality game.

COD 4's pre-alpha stage looks better than most game's gone gold stage.

While it does look better than avg, i have to agree somewhat as it doesnt look that impressive graphically, there are already lots of games out the right now that look better, gameplaywise though, it looks really cool!

I'm not looking forward to this game. Gamers' Day demo was so mediocre. First, level design was extremely uninspiring. Second, Platform elements look average. It feels a bit like Prince Persia but without awesome character's abilities. More importantly though, why is he slipping off the beam every time someone plays it? Things like that shouldn't be scripted (meaning character's movement shouldn't be scripted, collapsing environment etc. is ok). Then we have the aspect that character can't climb and grab all things in the environment that he should be able to (watch the jeux-france.com video, player wants to grab a liana but he can't). I think Naughty Dog missed last years Assassin's Creed presentation where character could grab everything that sticks out 2 inches. And the last thing I couldn't comprehend. The game is placed in the forest right? And it is on a next gen console? So why trees make for walls that you can't overcome? Seriously, they should place the game in caves if they wanted linear levels. That's just so unimmersive. Boundaries of Jak&Daxter 1 world seemed way more natural to me.

I expect something as mediocre as Jak 2. Good graphics don't make a good game.

i was with you untill you said jak 2 was mediocre....that immediately made your opinion mean precisely nothing to me.

game looks great tho, this, assassins creed, but more importantly heavenly sword are REALLY pushing the animation side of things. theres more to games then graphics you know.

I liked Jak & Daxter and thought it was a very good game, so I decided to buy Jak 2 and was really disappointed. Missions were repetetive and boring, vehicle constrols were broken (ie. shooting while in vehicle was broken), shooting was very simple and I wasted too much time flying around the city instead of doing missions, which weren't all that great to begin with. Also while the Daxter and some other characters were funny, I felt that the game took itself too seriously. So for me Jak 2 is the perfect example of how you should not do sequels.

So in general I think it's quite funny that you agree with me on something yet my opinion is nothing to you because you don't agree with me on some other issue.

Szaromir: You think the beamslipping is scripted?!? I certainly think not, I think the slip like that on purpouse to show off the awesome new animationsystem (this game has the best animation Ive ever seen imo). Been awhile since I watched the footage, but I thought the beam slipping looked slightly different each time around!

I think you balance on the beam by using the sixaxis function!

IMO, the game looks real sweet and im certainly will keep an eager eye on it, and ND has a pretty nice trackrecord and hopefully know what they are doing!

Sighs, developers never learn... next they will be saying they've managed to fill a 50 GB blu-ray disc and it could never be done on the 360.

Sometimes dev's have to talk crap to sell their product, which is a shame.

I can't say i have been overwhelmed by this game's graphics to date either, looks ok, but would sooner play Tomb Raiders.

How can they be so sure it will get a sequel, if the first one flops, I somehow wouldn't expect one, talk about counting your chickens.

I understand the harsh reaction to the stupid spin, but I also think the game looks pretty cool. It reminds me of Flashback, which is awesome.. there hasn't been a game since.. Flashback to do that :)
