A mix of CG and real life stuff in the trailer, but I love the art and the armor, very awesome.
I will definitely watch out for this one, can't wait to see the gameplay reveal.
This game is made by Mikami, creator of Resident Evil.

The game setting is a near-future war between US and Russia. By setting it in the future, Mikami can use robots and high tech stuff to make the game more interesting. He says the reason why the enemies are all robots is because he wants to allow players who do not like shooting other humans to be able to play and appreciate the gameplay in shooters as well. The mech suit features a high speed booster which allows you to very quickly boost next to enemies to pull off close range attacks. There are a large variety of close range attacks moves in the game. There is a balance between using cover and using the boost, but it is definitely not a pure cover shooter. You do not pick up and change weapons in the game, instead your weaponry is part of the suit and it all transforms in realtime into different sorts of weapons. The game is about 80% complete, and they're working on refining the AI for both allies and enemies at the moment. There is a demo planned, and the game will be released in winter 2010.
I hope we get to see proper trailer and gameplay soon, probably E3 or TGS as usual.
I was imagine the shooting system like Uncharted, fluid motion, medium/fast speed in and out of cover to run and gun...and whatever the hand to hand combat they are coming up with.
I just hope the pace of the game is closer to Uncharted IMO, it wasent too slow nor too fast..normal :P
Besides, they said its not a pure cover system shooter which is good.
Anyways, I am very excited for this game ever since that trailer.
The combat for Bayonetta is very very polished from what I have seen so I have no worries about that hand to hand part, but gunplay...its going to be interesting.

The shooting looks just as slow as gears if not slower.
The way how its freeform as Simon said and how quickly you can go close and do some hand to hand attacks and get back to shooting is what makes this fun and the whole climbing stuff.
When enemies are close and alerted, the characters movement will be faster. Runs faster, faster animations to do things like climbing, reloaded, going to cover...etc.
Fantastic game BTW, I love the MP and co-op in this, just pure fun, you should buy it now Mr PS3 owner ;) (and Uncharted 1 of course).
When Uncharted gets into the groove of that stuff it's utterly brilliant, and UC1 especially does that often.

But I am intrigued to see how this new Tomb Raider is going to be like, I remember seeing some artworks, pretty interesting.
