Ya, people just need to understand being next gen doesn't mean looking as real as humanely possible aka tricks to make the characters look like how we see in gears of war. Some people ACTUALLY go for this type of gloss look.

I mean people look down on blue dragon alot on some forums due to it not looking like gears of war, but some people will never learn I guess.

Exactly toy story looks plastic and unreal .. (wait they're toys hmmm )

Anyways, I don't see why eveything has to look real, I like games that have a cartoony look to them, it gives it character.

Exactly. I dreamt once that there was model middleware. Some sort of toolset that had prefab models for every gender and race. Everybody was using it and every game looked exactly the same. :O

That's what most people today seem to wish for, and it makes me afraid of the dark.

Quite nice. The only Tomb Raider Ive played is the second one on the PC, and that was a long time ago.
But from what i can remember i really enjoyed it, even if it was a bit difficult at the time.
One thing that I also recall is that old butler that used to follow you around at your own mansion, and how I used to lock him up inside the fridge :D

These pics have been trolled to hell and back on other forums already--it seems like people *don't* like what they're seeing here..but I certainly don't think it looks bad at all. I'm one of the first people who will tell you that we should all have high standards for these new platforms--but I'll also tell you that not every game is going to be like GRAW...I do sort of wish that the production quality of the game was reflected in the price of the product (this game shouldn't cost more than the previous gen versions, imo..GRAW should) but I still think it looks fine...I love that black dress, heh...

The only thing I'll say about performance here is that a game that looks like this should run at an exceptional framerate--hope that holds true.

Styx: The first two Tomb Raider games are the best in the series..you haven't missed out on much by missing the more recent ones..but if you can find a copy of the original tomb raider for windows I'd still recomend playing it--it's a fun game.
