I bought the game yesterday and from what I've played of it, I'm quite dissappointed, the combat and missions have so far been very lacklustre. Plus the design of the menus is a bit irritating especially the loading screens (a nice picture of your plane and an essay of facts, and the font size being to damn small to read). One of the characters in the game is supposed to be English, but has an accent worse than dick van dyke.

Yeah i got it today. Apart from the whole japaneseness of it, and the overall very xbox graphics, it is very fun and challenging.

It takes a while to get into it, but when you do it is very enjoyable to master the many controls and operations. Taking off and landing is a good bonus.

I said the graphics are very xbox overall, but there are some nice effects including the after burner and the planes them selves are quite detailed. Good cockpit view, and good use of 5.1 aswell.

Considering the lack of decent games for a long while, this might be worth picking up, especially if you enjoyed ace combat on PS2.

Its just a standard war story line. I really have been bothered to follow it. Think splinter cell or Ghost recon. You know there is a story line, but there is no need to follow it.
