This game will be great. If they're available, and I don't have one already, I'll probably buy a PS3 the day this game comes out.

Definately the most anticipated game on the PS3, and for a good reason.
I have loved every single MGS game this far, and I can´t see MGS4 flopping.

One thing I´m really looking forward is the online play. According to just about any game review site the Subsistence online is really good, and Hideo Kojima has been quoted to say that it was just a testing ground for MGS4´s online play.
I can´t wait to see what they can do with it.

Also they´re considering making the enviroment kind of "live". Meaning that a plant will grow if given time and in a good environment, Bodies would stay in place if they are not moved / disposed of somehow.

As you can propably tell, I´m a huge MGS fan, so this is a must get title for me.

No it's not really stupid. I've been wondering a bit about that myself. For some reason all of the metal gears in the previous games also made some form of animal sound when it "roars". For instance in MGS1, metal gear Rex would scream like a T-Rex from Jurasic Park. I really don't know why they go about this, maybe it makes them seem more imposing or something.

As well, as far as i know, at least from what I've heard, the smaller metal gear like walkers are unmanned and controlled by some form of AI program. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.

The 'animal' sounds are for psychological reasons.

Appereantly the MOOings and etc calm the enemy down. You might think "What the hell but that's good" Not really. When you have calmed down and then suddenly you get kicked by a 15 ton leg. You are not on the edge so your self defence lowers.
Very clever and is one of the thousands of genius detailed touches that MGS4 will have.
Hideo is the man.

Nothing to say on this one other than..."Can't wait!"

makes me a sad panda they are delaying it, but, already the delay reasons seem worth it. 1, there will be matched animations for english, second, they did a texture overhall...notice the difference in Merril from the first wave of trailors to the second...MUCH better.

I`m confused as to who the hell is liquid snake, or big boss, or whatever. Kojima is a legend in my book, but you`d have thought that with at least 2000 hours of in-game story per game (lol), he could`ve at least described what the hell is going on better than he has.

I do follow metal gear like mad, but it`s seriously confusing me now.

liquid=clone of big boss, as is solid. however, liquid got dead, and his arm put on revolver ocelot, and now liquid has taken over ocelot like a brain sucking parasite. what will really cook your noodle is the la-li-lu-le-lo (wisemans council, patriots, etc.) who rule the world. oh yeah, did we mention they've all been dead for a hundred years...

I know that Liquid was Snakes brother and that he died, but have we ever even seen who this `Big Boss` is?. Thanks for the info on Liquids arm. I didn`t realise that Ocelot had it and is the reason for him going mad.

It just gets mind-numbingly weird when these nano-machines and Fox die all start trying to co-exist within the story and on a whole, it`s frying my mugget lol.

Dead for 100 years you say?....wtf !?!.

big boss=bad guy of Metal Gear:Outer Haven for the SNES. he's your main char for MGS3. Foie was a nano-disease, it was the "backup plan" for shadow moses, incase snake failed, that was gonna kill everyone anyway.

Bullshit. I bet they just thought they sounded cool. Considering how ridiculous everything else is, I would not give them that much credit to think they delved into the psychology behind the sounds of these machines.
