Not heard about this game in years, I remember reading a few mag articles and quite liking some ideas.
As far as I know the project has been shelved, because they (Blitz/Volatile) haven't found a publisher.

From what I recall, you were a monster/zombie and you would run about the town, with a small group of zombies, and using those zombies you would make more zombies.

Basically you would end up controlling a hoard of minions to.. well.. kill stuff!

in this business no news is most often bad news and i haven't heard shit about this title since it was announced WAY back. So i'm guessing it's canned.

This is one of the good old days 3D survival horror game. Checked one of the sites that has an article about it and saw a display text: "CANCELLED"

So yeah.

I googled "possession blitz games" and found the wikipedia article with this quote:

While not officially cancelled, updates on the game's development ceased in 2006. In response to several questions about Possession, Blitz/Volatile sent out the same message to any person who requested the status of the game.

"Hi there, Thanks for your interest in Possession. Unfortunately we still haven't managed to secure a publisher to take on the project. We haven't given up on Possession completely, we want to see it made as much as you do. We are pursuing other games at the moment though. Best regards, PR Dept, Volatile Games"
