Gamersyde est un site de média-information consacré à l'actualité du jeu-vidéo consoles et PC, et spécialisé dans la production et diffusion de vidéos de haute qualité à très haut bitrate dans leur résolution et framerate d'origine. À l'heure où la compression vidéo exagérée devient de plus en plus la norme sur Internet, Gamersyde est le dernier petit village gaulois à encore résister à l'envahisseur Youtube. Toutes les vidéos sont disponibles en téléchargement et en streaming, jusqu'en 4K et 60 images par seconde dans les deux cas, et dans une qualité largement supérieure à celle de Youtube pour le streaming. Nous sommes également en mesure d'enregistrer des extraits de jeu en HDR pour les joueurs équipés d'écrans compatibles. L'intégralité de notre contenu est gratuit, et accessible en français ainsi qu'en anglais.

but this game is pure class, and i just cant understand why people hate it so :(
Even fr0sty has been arguing with me over it when he comes round, because he despised it... but for all the wrong reasons.

Inscrit depuis 6694 JoursUsually I'm open to peoples' tastes; if they don't like something that I do, I just accept that it's their opinion. But with this... I don't get it. I'm on Episode 6 now and, to me, it's been a virtually flawless experience, as well as one of only a few games where I've been enthralled throughout. It's the best example I've seen in recent years of a video game closing the boundaries between other forms of idea, with a highly compelling story and a cast of memorable characters.
Heck, it's one of the best games I've played this generation, let alone this year. I'd love to know what aspects of the game people find so terrible, because I genuinely can't see any.

Inscrit depuis 7307 JoursOnly games that have this kind of "charm" this gen have been mass effect and uncharted, i recall in the early posts of this thread people were moaning that alan wake is a "pretencious arsehole" and stuff like that, I found it a great performance and found him as a believable "i'm famous and the fans/press are getting to me" celeb
Side note, did anyone read the jackie chan write up in empire this month ? omfg i feel so sorry for the guy, he sounds so lonely and depressed :( very much like alan wake, but lacking a misses.

Inscrit depuis 6694 JoursAlan Wake isn't exactly a pretentious arsehole either; he's fed up with his status as celebrity. It's pretty obvious. In fact, I find Nathan Drake is more of an arsehole than Alan Wake ever shows himself to be. But it's okay: I like arseholes (ewww).

Inscrit depuis 6694 JoursI understood that the only way for Alice to be saved was if Alan essentially sacrificed himself by diving into the lake and staying in the Dark Place, thus maintaining the balance between light and dark that is hinted at by Zane towards the end. I also understand that the very last line of the game, 'It's not a lake... it's an ocean', implies that the Dark Presence lies beyond Bright Falls alone, and Alan's attempt to destroy it by sacrificing himself had failed because its existence lied beyond the lake - hence the 'ocean' metaphore. Then again, I've come to this conclusion after reading the explanation of the ending, haha. Still, I got the jist of it and reading some explanations kinda reaffirmed that I knew what was going on.
The only stuff I didn't get/pick up:
- This whole 'Mr. Scratch' thing completely bypassed me. I must have not been paying attention or something, because I missed this entirely. I know that he was introduced when Alan was looking at a derranged version of himself, but I wasn't listening to Zane's explanation of him. Ah well.
- I didn't really get why it had a shot of Rose and then a dark Nightingale behind her, but the online theory that he is the new puppet of the Dark Presence - replacing Barbara Jagger - seems to make sense.
I'm currently playing through the first DLC (which came free), and it's doing a good job of expanding the story. Usually I'm fundamentally against DLC, but I'm definitely going to buy the second one, simply because I love the game so much.
