Saying you cant find animaton in Japan is like saying you cant find food in Italy
I think the whole.. getting found out thing is pretty essential because I view the escapes as the hands down strongest component of this game, and a strength it should play on more. The parkour stuff looks great and it's exhilarating to use it, so give us more reasons to do so and mix up the environments. Altaïr can't climb on EVERYTHING because not everything is possible to climb, and identifying that on the fly, or better yet, having scoped out a good escape route beforehand would feel really rewarding if it mattered. So make it matter! Thank you.
I think it'll sell well despite the lukewarm critical reception, and the technology is already there, so I think there'll be an AC2. Just make it count, Ubi.

But by all means it's not disasterous, and let me reiterate that I think it's far from a bad game. I'd go so far to even recommend people play it, just not.. maybe throw themselves at it at full price. Or like I did - above that because I got the one with the Altaïr statue. :}
In fact I'd liken it a lot to Condemned in this regard. That game did a lot of stuff very right, but ultimately it was so busy doing that stuff right that it sort of forgot to do more than one thing total. That also had other objectives it seemingly had no faith in, giving you prompts every step of the way just like AC. In the end though it is worth playing for the things it did right, and it's simply an experience worth having.
Just like AC
And man it's confusing to have essentially the exact same conversation in two separate threads. :P

what, like skill ?
STREET FIGHTER 4, BRING IT ON!
Since I started playing the game I was loving every single bit of it UNTIL some informer asks me to collect 20 flags for him in 3 minutes. I mean like in all honesty.. what the hell am I doing a flag fetch for that is so retarded. It just makes zero sense and totally brings the game down in my opinion. It was better when you weren't forced to get the damn things. I wouldn't mind something like this in the naruto game or something, but what the hell is it even doing in a game like this? I was handling all my assassinations really well being as stealthy as possible occasionally getting into fights cause it was fun and now I'm literally forced to play the game in an idiotic fashion that pretty much totally defeats the purpose of being the inconspicuous assassin that doesn't want to draw attention to himself.
This is bad enough to damage my entire opinion of the game and now despite loving everything I've seen up until now I might not want to finish the game because of this. The moment I saw that damn time limit I instantly thought to myself "please don't tell me thats what I think it is" I literally wanted to throw my controller at my hdtv. Still unable to get it done and don't think I ever will.
Hironobu Sakaguchi is coming back to reclaim the throne :)
