They have removed soo much vehicular gameplay and made it an CoD infantry combat clone.
-No massive maps with epic tank battles...anyone else remember Arbandeen from BF1942? Each side spawned with at least 10 tanks, that map was so awesome
-No massive air warfare maps like Coral Sea where the objective was to sink the enemy carrier
-No Naval warfare maps like Gudalcanal or Iwo Jima
this game is just infantry infantry infantry
the jets are useless, the helicopters get shot down quickly, the AA guns are over-powered, the naval combat is non existent, fuck this game
I keep getting placed every now and again on the opposite team to those in my party which is really annoying me now because as much as I dislike COD for its lone wolf style and love BF3's team gameplay at least COD makes it darn easy for me and my mates to game together.

Slightly decreased the accuracy for all weapons on fully automatic, burst fire is now preferable at mid to long range.
Increased the effective accuracy of long bursts for LMGs when using a bipod.
Slightly increased the range of the 44magnum bullets.
Increased the close range damage of 4.6x30mm and 5.7x28mm bullets.
Increased the reload time of the Mortar from 3.5sec to 4.8sec and increased the time it takes before a shell hits the ground.
Reduced the aimed accuracy bonus given by a Suppressor for the MP7, P90, PP2000, PP-19, and UMP45.
Increased the range and FOV for designating targets with the SOFLAM and vehicle Laser Designators.
Decreased the effectiveness of 12g FRAG ammo when equipped on semi-automatic and automatic shotguns.
Slightly Increased the power of Fighter Jet Cannons against all vehicle targets, especially Helicopters.
Decreased the power of Miniguns against Jets and Helicopters.
Increased the power of Stingers against Jets.
Flares reload times for Jets and Helicopter Gunners have been increased.
Tweaked the AN94 so its burst fire better conveys the real world advantage offered by this weapon.
Added Single Shot to the AN94 as an available fire mode.
Slightly increased the recoil on the M416 and removed the Burst Fire mode (this weapon incorrectly had burst fire, which was not authentic).
Tweaked the spawns for TDM on Kharg Island, Grand Bazaar, Caspian Border, Seine Crossing, Operation Firestorm, Damavand Peak and Noshahar Canals

Good patch it seems, seems to fix some nice stuff, like IRNV scope (felt like cheating :P), and the damn tactical lights. I still didn't get to try the game so don't know how much diffrent it is yet.
But overall i like what i read.

The AT mine nerf is friggin huge. I wish they'd disable the rocket+mine combo all together and put them both on the same slot. There's so much for lone wolves in this game. Too much.
I wonder if the AN-94 is actually worth giving another shot.
The game really is much better w/ 32 or fewer players on most maps. I really don't think I prefer a single 64 player map layout to 32. The mine nerf is very welcome.. it really cuts the clutter on the few good vehicle maps.
Over all.. so far so good.
edit: The last battlelog update is really fantastic too. It seems like you have a lot of variable you can set on custom servers now, and filters for basically all of them. That's great. They lowered the minimum player count again too. Excellent.
Increasing jet gun damage on helis is mental. A jet in capable hands is more than potent enough to deal with any kind of vehicle. I already have a very hard time staying alive against these fuckers with virtually no effective countermeasure other than my gunner scratching their paint.
And maybe we get our first update at the start of next year. Shit's taking forever.

Phaethon has a server. I have one too (well, my clan does). It's empty. It doesn't mean the game is dead.
Unless they release some actual concurrent player numbers, I'm not taking anything on battlelog as an indication of anything. Especially when it's easy to find full servers every dang time I look.
Server providers oversold like a motherfucker. If you're having problems finding servers you need to change your filters.
I just found an equal number of populated servers. Guess what? That doesn't mean anything either!
There are "only" 13,000 people playing MW3 right now. There should be at least a billion! That game is dead too.
And those are a fraction of the number of actual populated servers (in the US alone and conquest only!) at 2am.
