I had a go last night, having not played BF2 on PC or the original Xbox (bar a quick demo that had hotswapping) I thought it was fun, easily played for an hour without realising.

Don't know what SP is like but I think MP would be fun with some friends :D

There are almost too many good games coming out at the minute though...I'm still polishing off Fight Night, barely started Oblivion and 3 levels from the end of GRAW on easy.

Not to mention I got Amped 3 and The Outfit through on rental.

And then there's Topspin.....not enough time!

Not to be all negative, it doesn't look bad. Definately an experience not found on the consoles, so it is unique. And it has acceptible graphics :D Some nice movies here

(Man the guy has horrible aim... he seems to really struggle with the gamepad... they need Snoopers, who ROCKS with the gamepad!)

It's not bad, I agree, it's just that BF2 on the PC feels better.. Anyone having played both now would agree I think..

About that aim in those movies, that could have been me.. I also suck with a controller compared to what I can do with a mouse (played FPS on the PC since Wolfenstein 3D, and played many years at "pro"-level in Quake, and CS).. And being a lefty aswell it makes things even worse not being able to aim with the leftstick like in the BF2:MC demo.. I read GRAW didn't even support leftstick aiming (southpaw) in the full version, for me that makes a game totally useless as I will never be able to enjoy it.. I will only get frustrated by my very n00bish aim/control (14 years of FPS skills out of the window).. Aiming with a stick just feels so unnatural to me, and looking at these movies you can see what I mean, the way the crosshair moves, it's not a very smooth aiming motion, more like a robot or something.. And much slower offcourse, by the time I got my crosshair one something with a controller you're already dead 3 times on the PC.. :P

But I still think a lot of people will enjoy this game on Xbox Live, it looks like a very good game.. Just ignore my hardcore PC FPS opinion.. Console FPS gaming is just not for me.. I really hope though for the southpaw users that the full game of BF2:MC supports it.. Totally stupid not being able to set your own control preferences..

It's not bad, I agree, it's just that BF2 on the PC feels better.. Anyone having played both now would agree I think..

I made screenshots of my control-setup for BF2 on the PC.. Maybe now some will understand why it is so hard to play the game with a controller (besides aim&movement).. :P

That's with mouse, keyboard, and joystick.. Try mapping all that on a controller.. It's impossible.. And that's why BF2:MC suffers in terms of gameplay compared to BF2 on the PC imho.. 1 thing I really missed in this BF2:MC demo was the alternate-firing option on i.e. tanks etc.. :\

But as always, it's ok if you don't know any better I guess.. People that don't play on the PC will enjoy BF2:MC for sure I bet, it's not a bad game at all..

Btw, this is how BF2 looks on my PC, 1280x1024, everything at high, and 4xAA.. Not the best screenshot, but it will do.. :)

I was rather suprised by this demo. Although it doesn't come close to the real deal: BF2 on PC. I was enjoying every minute i've played in the demo so far.. They did alot of things right and some of em wrong ( like the "no-alternate fire" inflatable mentioned)

One thing that suprised me was how nice the overal pace of the game was; pretty fast and enjoyable....

I don't know why people start talking about it's better to play on the PC due to the controller, it's not like you are going to play against people on a PC with keyboard and mouse, it's all about adapting to the controller, iv played the demo, and i had no problem with the controller.

I have only one question.

I only use Special Ops, and I was wondering how to plant more than one C4, if its possible?

I saw a guy with the Special Ops class same as me, and I was adding C4 all over the humvee like atleast 2-4 bombs, and he drove away. I was shocked when Isaw him do it, any ideas of how it works?
