Onto the game. I've played for about an hour and Im just a little bit past where the demo ends. I tell you now. The way to play this game is on hard. It makes it so much more intense but also enjoyable. There are plenty of health packs around so it never feels hopeless, and employing the right strategy will get rid of bad guys so much quicker. There are a few changes from the demo but I'll let people discover those on their own.
That brings up an important point about this game. I can't stress how much it is important to make sure you have seen every room before you move on. There is so much you could miss. The part in the demo where you are supposed to move through to the theatre has a whole section that I completely missed downstairs. The rewards for exploring these areas are worth your time.
Im so overwhelmed with the quality of this game that its hard to stop playing but at the same time its so incredibly tense that it makes you wary of moving forward. This is already my GOTY.
Sorry for double post just thought some people might wanna know. As IGN said its really great that they resonded so fast.

here it only comes out tomorrow but at amazon uk they list it as shipped yesterday. Man, i would be terribly pissed off if it would arrive tomorrow. you see, normally this would be a good thing (specially after friday being, you know, weekend), but the thing is i agreed to go for a weekend with friends and girlfriend as im only expecting it monday. Damn, that would be ironic.
hm. this is a bit off topic now that i think of it, this being the impressions thread and me not having any well, impressions...
But, on the other hand pretty neat of Irrational, addressing this widescreen drama. I mean, duh, they were not cropping the widescreen users horizontaly but increasing the standard screen vertically!

Give a guy a gun, he thinks he´s Superman. Give him two and he thinks he´s God!
A little more smoke.. DX10 is really convincing so far :/
Going to run it again on hard and get some achievements I missed and try some new tactics and tonic builds.

BioShock Score Available for Free Download
Did you hear that?
by Ryan Geddes
August 24, 2007 - As if the eerie, underwater world of BioShock isn't immersive and creepy enough, developer 2K Games today released the game's original score for free download on the title's official Web site.
Now you can switch off the game, turn on your iPod and rush late to work/school with the sounds of Rapture still ringing in your ears.
The BioShock soundtrack features a combination of early twentieth century writing, aleatoric elements, musique concrete, traditional tonal and late romantic styles. Sounds fancy. All twelve tracks of the string-based orchestral score by Garry Schyman are downloadable as a single compressed file on the Cult of Rapture Web site.
Remember, if you start looking around for Little Sisters at the mall, it's probably time to take the headphones off.
That was the only track I really wanted while the others was a bonus.
But playing the demo my favorite track is "Welcome to Rapture".
The only track that kind of reminds me of that is called "The Engine City".
I wanted this track :(

Hopefully Mr Schyman will release it. The other tracks I got that has a very excellen 50-60's to it called "Voyuer" is awesome, so hopefully he releases more tracks from the game.
But overall the soundtrack is very good, I like it, Creepy even if you turn off the lights, it really feels like a splicer is crawling on the sealing of the room you are in *shivers*
Playing: ???
PS3: Heavenly Sword - Lair - Dark Sector - Killzone 2 - MGS4 - Uncharted - Haze - God of War 3
360: Mass Effect - Assassin's Creed - Ninja Gaiden 2 - DMC4 - Too Human - Fable 2 - Resident Evil 5
I like how the enemies aren't always at the same places. One enemy killed me and I loaded game and was surprised when he wasn't behind the door anymore. Nice is that they just don't stand still and wait you. They walk around, talk and whistle. Respawning enemies doesn't bother me. Those actually comes to areas you have left and I think it makes the game better when you have to be carefully all the time. I don't scare normally when I play games but this game has some moments when you think WOW that was awesome. Then I just use my Wrench :P
I recommend Hard difficulty too!

/ Later in the game some of the splicers lay down as if they are dead then attack you. Your weapons become less effective on hard as you progress except for the crossbow. The crossbow is also the best way to eliminate big daddies especially with the trap dart. Click on my name and look at my gamer card check out my achievements.
