shadowing could do with a tweak though, it's actually pointing to the light.

To me it looks like it is the right direction. The brightness is over exposed HDR (ugh) which, if it were truly that bright, you would have all sorts of indirect illumination (GI). Anyhow, these look substantially more saturated and elss flat than some of the recent video. The 2nd looks almost like a photo.

Unreal that they have this at 60fps...

The fans have spoken. Concerning the graphics of the Halo 3 Beta: "There's so many little effects and things going on that make this game pretty much 2nd only to Gears at the moment."

well screen 2 is no where at crysis, screen one on the other hand looks close to identical with crysis in directx 9 , trippy @_@, system is pushing out some good horsepower :D

Collier: Well, we’ve always been huge fans of co-op and have always wanted to do it, but we’ve always been biting off so much—we bite off huge amounts—like when we had Call of Duty 2 a launch title for 360. Now, with the entire change to modern warfare and the total revamping of the technology, whenever we set out to do something we want to do it really, really well. We want to do co-op, but we want to do it really, really well. I’m not going to comment on the future, but we’re fans of it and anything we do we want to do really, really well.

Guess that means no co-op? Eh, no huge loss if that's the case.

Running at 60 frames per second while you have these gorgeous graphics and a lot of explosions going on and a lot of options is very important. It always has to be running at 60 frames per second.

And all that detail to boot.. oh, I love you IW!

Currently, the way we have it balanced now, the first three kills that you get, you unlock an overhead spy plane that will scan the map.

But then you have the UAV spy plane scan the entire map, and for like 30 seconds you can see on the radar where all the bad guys are. That’s what you get for three. You basically get it on your D-pad, and once you get it you hold onto it and can use it at your leisure. People can say, “Hey, there’s someone behind me, and I can’t see them. Does anyone have their UAV up?” and I can say, “Yeah, I’ve got mine,” and I can pop it and say, “I see that they’re moving up on me, and I need backup.” After UAV, when you have a five-kill streak, you can get an airstrike, where you get some fighters that fly over the map and drop bombs on the map.

Once you get the seven-kill streak, you’re able to call in an attack helicopter that comes in and supports your guys and roams the map and racks up kills for you. So you’re getting credit for this attack helicopter coming in and smoking people.

Even more interesting... things are certainly quite a bit different this time around. Perhaps this game will be rather compelling without mods. Challenges should keep things fresh for people who aren't into the whole, compeditive thing as well. Sounds like they're putting a lot of effort and content into MP this time around. Sounds awesome.

Looks great, as usual.. but it really sounds great as well. There are about 30 weapons in multiplayer, and "a gazillion" in the campaign. Can't wait to see a list.

on gametrailers on gamehead part 4 is a short part the E3 trailer. Graphically IW practically 1up'ed everyone in the console games industry (maybe except Ubi Montreal and Bizarre). :O It looks unbelievable!

Indeed it does. Really impressive stuff, especially when you consider the frame rate is locked at 60fps. I hope the multiplayer portion of the game works well with all these new concepts and features. The concept of UAV/Arty/Air support being tied to kill streaks is pretty interesting -- and I hope that perks work out in a way that doesn't disturb the games balance.

That video seems to hate me though. Ah, nm.. there it goes. Uncharted looks cool too :)

edit: such a tease! full trailer in HD @ 6pm.. not entirely sure what time zone. I wasn't paying attention.

COD 4's pre-alpha stage looks better than most game's gone gold stage.

Saying you cant find animaton in Japan is like saying you cant find food in Italy. Its simply not true.

Looks very impressive, especially picture 2 which had me guessing for a few seconds if it was real or not.. The new trailer is awesome aswell.. CoD4 = mustbuy..

The only reservation I have is that I hope the PC version will be better ported from the consoles to PC then CoD2 in terms of performance.. CoD2 on the PC was a crappy engine port from the Xbox 360 version, it ran like crap in DX9 even on high-end PC's at the time of release..

I always just assumed that the horrible DX9 performance was attributed to the fact that the 6800GT has relatively horrible SM3.0 performance. The game runs incredibly well when you turn off DX9 though :)

GTB sur pas mal d'aspects. L'ADN commun est manifeste, mais Reanimal fait un petit pas de côté. Cependant, la démo ressemble plus à un test de leur part que de donner un avant-gout révélateur. (il y a 1 Jour)
