Wow first time I've actually watched some footage for DA2..
Bioware sure knows how to fuck up a franchise....

I'm a big Baldur's gate fan and Dragon Age 1 was a pretty satisfying "spiritual successor", although not in the same league as the Baldur's gate's games...
But now it looks like they got rid of all the complexity that was in Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 and DA 1 (up to a certain point) and made a game that looks like a brainless action game instead of a deep RPG...
The only diferent thing I saw there was better animations and more effects on screen.

As for the other stuff it plays exactlylike DA:O, I m playing it right now thats why I can say that.

Rogue for me baby!!!

That was pure badassery but there was no gameplay at all.

I really hope those fantastic animations in where you are teleporting like a demon are for the Rogue, though I dont mind playing a Warrior or a Mage, I guess I will leave teh Rogue to my Female lady hawke and the Warrior for a male hawke.

I just beated The Deep Roads in DAO and I cant be more excited about this new one!!

I'm sorry but that makes no sense... I've played DA:O as well and having watched a couple of different gameplay sections from DA2 it's looks like it's a totally different game...
And I still think it's idiotic to have those characters splattered with blood all the time, it looks kinda silly....

But they have blood all over in Origins aswell, also what diferent things you see to make it look like a diferent game than Origins? again I said this because Im playing it at the moment and this gameplay videos look like Origins but with better stuff in it, better animations, better effects, you can still pause it to make commands.

I just can't see the diference, well I do see it but for the better not for the worse, but I guess since Im playing it in the console, the PC version must be diferent and thats where you see it diferent and bad?

No, why should it be idiotic to have characters splattered with blood?
King Arthur, Gladiator, Braveheart...etc. all these old setting melee warriors has been covered in blood by the end of the fight, thats what makes it so damn badass.
You know a awesome fight went down.

And I agree with Raptor, I mostly played the way you saw in the Gameinformer videos with slight pause-and-play here and there.
Only thing different is faster and much cooler animations so its exciting to watch the battle than DA: Origins.

I am definitely going with Rogue or Champion, but later on go with Mage.
Thank you Bioware for making your sequals more badass than the previous ones :)

I just can't understand how awesome Bioware made the combat, sure its the same gameplay, but they definitely made the combat much more exciting to watch.
I also like how fast and easy the menus are now on consoles, DA Origins was a mess for the most part.

The UI is fucking atrocious and hopefully completely modifiable on the PC at least, other than that it looks like more Dragon Age which I have no reason to complain about.

Yeah it was stupid in DA:O as well..

Take for example this quick-look from Giant-bomb.

I find this to be a big change from the gameplay they had in DA and I know both of you guys are into these "free flowing action" type games but you gotta admit this is totally different from the tactical combat in part one.. It seems they made all the normal enemies pretty weak and just upped the number off enemies to try and mask a pretty boring combat aspect if you ask me.

Actually that is what I find stupid in most games, you see so much upclose combat with so much blood and yet their weapons and body is so clean, no blood at all.
But since God of War 3 and then Dragon Age, I am wishing Ninja Gaiden 3 is going to be like that as well (if the poster is any hint).

I think in our eyes the combat looks very changed from the first one but they seem to have made it more exagerated in animations during combat just like we see in the CGIs but yet in gameplay its pretty much the same like the first one.
But now, Hawke actually fights like he does in the CGI trailer and that alone makes it awesome.
Like you saw there is pause-and-play as well. And yes I have played both PC version and PS3, and the only thing I see changed in combat is that its faster and UI is different,

But whatever, I am not going through this stuff again, those who like it will buy it, those who dont wont.

Just AWESOME stuff there, i guess thats the demo we will be getting, combat looks just as deep if not more so, and it all seems to run so smooth on the 360, big step up from DA.O :)

I am definitely going to have the "press default attack button to manually attack as many times" rather than the automatically, atleast i can have it closer to real time combat.

Also, according to IGN they said the console versions of DA2 will be much better than DA O, I seriously hope they reduced the loading screens ALOT, such a pain in the ass in DA O.

To many vids and hands-on to keep up with (G4TV/GAMESPOT/1UP all have also), i'm glad its all mostly combat though, as i don't want to be to spoiled!, but what they all DEF agree on, is that there worries about the combat and other game mechanics being dumbed down in DA.2 have all disappeared, and the game feels and looks more polished \ refined and enhanced, which is great to hear, cant wait for the demo/game.

Saw it live.

So much dumb questions, questions that was already answered in previews, videos and interviews, yet they took the same ones again.
It was a waste of time really.

I really wanted them to show us the character customization, male version.
Yes its about the beards.

1. In Origins when you wanted to pick a beard (not a stubble) your face would reshape to a skeleton zombie look which was annoying as hell, and the circle beard I wanted looked like ass.
2. I wanted to see how much, more or less, they have improved it.
