Well yea i have had one die also, and if MS asked me to pay £85 i would be shoving my middle finger down the phone line.

You right to get mad, thankfully i have 2 consoles so if 1 goes wrong i have a backup :)

But no red lights for me ..... all the past ones have, this one has not, just a BRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHH and purple blocks. kinda looks and sound like a 290 pound spectrum ZX lol

anyway, jolli i havejust killed fenrir, and pissing around with the diffrent coloured spheres... and i must say i ran towards that URN for the map... wow, i got proper handed to i used up all my cure disease thingys and used all my mana (they have on average 700 each) and the fight lasted ages....but they just kept spawning and eventually.... i lost :( and i almost had to buy a new pad lol

breath in, breath out. now i am fine :D

just completed it wow, fantastic end, fantastic battles, fantastic ending, and fantastic score during it all, square soft i bow before you, fantastic.

Ok problem ....

I lost intrest in Final Fantasy Xii before I even finished it .... I dont know why but the stpory for some reason has grown lame throughout and I honestly dont care for the characters at all ..... am I loosing interest in Final Fantasy or was the story of the game just so lame!

the story....XII for me is just a sweet holder before XIII arrives. that one will be 10 times better, if not more.

nah man, its not u, i felt the same. The characters are soo boring and never really "interact" with each other, like they dont get into the characters history or anything. Its just a bunch of people fighting together, and it never gets any more interesting.

I have to admit i did the same Alimo, I still haven't completed it.

The problem with FF12 is, that the battle is so boring the only reason you play is to continue the story, and even though the story is well thought out and presented its not really that exciting.

If you want a JRPG with a good story ... i would recommend Blue Dragon :D

the battle system sucks the life out of FF XII, it's to boring they should have kept it turn-based like they started with.

But it is still turn based, I don't even have the game and I know it. Just turn off gambits if you don't like it. :/

Exactly how I feel about the game now. the combat system just got repetitive. Blue Dragon is SO FAR away damn it!

I thought it was pants !. To be honest, it`s the 1st FF game I`ve played (I know I know lol), but the dissapointment was HUGE to say the least. Just bring on Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata for me I`m afraid and for now, you can keep your Final Fantasy !!. Sorry to be a hu-bug, but it`s just my honest opinion :0)

To say it is pants with no reason, is not much of a reason to slat it at all.

Alimo yes the battle sytem is repetitve and tere is no use for the magic system WHAT so ever :(... well maybe cure :D
But the ending made it up for me :D

According to gamefront, that FF12 is called FF12 International.

Seems more like a final mix type deal than a brand new game.

Indeed, the magic box reports that it's in fact called Final Fantasy XII *breathe* International Zodiac Job System, and will be a japanese version of the US/Europe versions of the game, ie with widescreen options and stuff like that.

In addition, there'll be different License boards for different jobs, aswell as some scenes not found in the original game.

Well they can keep it for all I care ... My god Square enix is milking the FF brand to death, they are literally remaking all of them with spin offs appearing on so many diffrent platforms.I dont mind it as long as quality is maintained which apparently isnt one of squenix's concerns anymore .... some of the FF titles they released recently are just plain rubbish.

The fact that you can literally sit down and watch your characters take care of things. a near 100% hands off combat system.

Turn off the gqambits and control the characters then... I don't see the problem here. The system lets you play how you want, you can vary the amount of control you have. How does one of the options make it a bad system?

Look, I simply think Final Fantasy belongs to the turn based approach :D you can call me traditional but that's what I like about JRPGs. I hate random battles though and I loved the fact that FF12 has trashed that concept. Now if only they could go back to turn based and no randon battles, that would be PERFECTION! just like Blue dragon, Sakaguchi deserves a kick in the nuts though for having random battles in Lost Odyssey.

But like I said, you can turn it off and make it turn based, it's pretty much the FFX battle system that way from what I can tell. I still don't see the problem if that's the way you feel.
