It's weird though because it's obvious they are capable of having awesome textures and shaders, but the bulk of that Warthog is too flat for its own good.

Still though, this'll probably be the first racing game I buy since Carmageddon 2....or Rock N' Roll Racing... whichever came out later.

Apart from that construction, all the detail seems more or lessat the same level. The slightly changed colors make all the difference... Which is not a bad thing, finally nailing that photorealistic colour balance is what everyone wanted from T10.

normal practice in the industry, gt5 made quite the number of dubious claims. at the end of the day, you enjoy each game for its own merits.

wish one of these series would make it to pc... the mods would be epic.

That they didn't want to make the same choices Polyphony did (variable framerate and screen tearing, weather supported only on some tracks, last gen car models). They could do without mentioning them.

It's a shame that New York got cut, i wasnt expecting that as it was a really good track!

GT5 may have been used as an example but it is a perfectly legitamate reason why these things have been excluded. A rock solid 60FPS at all times is an absolute must for any racing sim and T10 have their priorities spot on in this department.

I don't see any direct mention of GT in or PD in that article, not saying it's not there, but in skimming through the end paragraphs I can't see anything. But whatever.

Just saw Top Gear USA and they had a "competition" going on with Tanner Foust driving a Lexus LFA on Infeneon (real life) vs two guys running FM4 to see who could do the best time. Anyways, nothing serious. The point is there were some bits of gameplay in there not seen anywhere else, and of the track. You could tell it was not polished at all, that probably was shot a good while ago too. Still, I saw fully lit interiors during gameplay and great replay camera angles :)

Saw some vids with the Rewind feature being used, when i'm racing with mates its never used, but it sure is a good help when training on new tracks :)

Yup, the enviroment is definately lacking polish with no spectators present anywhere, must be from an old build...





Still looks awesome though :)

FM3 was the same, some events have spectators some don't. All the shots of FM3 before release were without spectators, or certainly the majority, but the game had them and they looked fine.

How many more tracks? I am hearing some things got toned down (like customization) and the lack of non-replay material is a hmmm
