The demo might show up today (or not ^^) but just in case it doesn't some more in-game screenshots. They don't look bad at all for the most part.
I'm tryin not go get my hopes up, but man would that be sweet..

IMO, we won't see it before tomorrow or Friday. I wish I could be proven wrong though. ;)

I see a Moderator on forza motorsport forum said that it would be out by Weekend 5 hours ago. They really dont do themself any favours if that news turns out to be false all it does in create hype.

Why wont they allow any videos how old is the preview build anyway? Knowing how damn long the demo has been in certification who knows how long that preview build has been in certification.

Well that's relatively good news.. the sooner the better. All I've been playing all week is BF2 pretty much. Would welcome something new to mess around with.

My thoughts aswell really dont see the point of blocking it when all videos have been leaked on every forum on internet pretty much weeks before the ban lol.

Che post
Drows, you're kicking a hornet's nest dude.

Hi everyone. I can't tell you the demo date/time until marketing/PR gives me the go ahead. And I suspect they'll make an announcement very soon (as in, this morning).

In the meantime, everyone take a deep breath and go outside.
What a suprise more rubbish doing the rounds all post was to create hype but then again i think Turn 10 know the date but they not allowed to say because Microsoft announceing it.

But graphically, and I joke not, Toca 3 on the PC looks better (and runs smoother) in many ways -- and that game is not impressive to me. RFactor is another one that comes to mind (which has a ton of cars as well like Toca and very accurate simulation). And Toca shows how a game made by an average developer can have some excellent damage modelling, both graphically and in terms of variability. Graphics and damage on FM2 are definately weak points in the general sim genre. I remember how bad some people punked RR6 and Burnout for their graphics, as well as the NFS games, but FM2 isn't looking much better than those ports, if at all. Not a big deal lest all the false hype by fans and the perpetual
I didn't play RFactor or Toca 3 on PC, but RR6, Burnout Revenge and NFS Carbon (be it 360 or PC version) have much much worse graphics than FM2. I am disappointed in FM2 graphics, but there is no comparison really.

Man, now my only hope is that we get decent download times. Again, MS should do something like bittorrent, helps them, helps us.

I don't know download speeds have been incredible for me ever since E3 06 ended. I get all large files pretty quickly now.

Well, my last few downloads haven't been that pleasing. One of those was the Winning Eleven demo, it took my days of retrying, starting the download from the start, etc etc, and so I decided to simply cancel the 1GB+ download. It CAN be a pain sometimes.

My last download was the Command and Conquer demo, which was pretty good. So they have to be more consistent.

NFS Carbon has much better graphics than everybody complains about. Driving down the canyon is just amazing. Sure, the cars of FM2 looks much better than from Carbon or other racers, but the environments of Carbon looks very nice. Certainly not a kind of real, but quite nice. But i have to agree with acert, from all i've seen RR6, Burnout Revenge and NFS Carbon has equal or clearly better environments. Certainly not the cars (this would be a shame), but the environments. Lake Shore from RR6 didn't look worser than some bad FM2 tracks like Mazda Circuit or Test Track. In my opinion Burnout Revenge has better environments than FM2, just look at the videos or screenshots from xboxyde. NFS Most Wanted has also some really cool environments. Clealy not looking real, but FM2 Tracks are also far away from looking real.

The only problem is..........Carbon runs at an average of 24fps, lol, that game sucks all around.

Sure? It looks really solid to me like if it's locked to 30FPS. I didn't notice any frame drops or tearing.

Can't wait either.

Also.. I agree with Lebato. Carbon is pretty horrible. I hate the handling with the wheel. I couldn't get too far past the first island before I gave up on it and moved on to something else. Just not a very compelling game imo.

I do but I suck with it so far. Hard to get used to.
On Forza 1 I ran 10 laps on Silverstone, my best time was with the wheel,
but I was more consistent with the controller.
My time with the wheel was about 1.5 secs faster than with the controller.
I find that I have to concentrate a lot more with the wheel, but after a few laps it becomes natural, in that you are driving a car, like it was meant to be instead of using your thumbs and the sticks on the controller.

Also I can see why people build these elaborate seat wheel setups, its hard to get comfortable, with the wheel on a sofa and reaching the brake and accelerator.

Yes they are. But they also have lots of geometry on their sides and in some cases when artists nailed the lighting right (Road Atlanta, Mugello, reportedly Nurburgring) they look quite beautiful. I haven't played RR6 since ages, but Burnout Revenge doesn't have better tracks (and trees were laughable). Well, at least that game had insane levels of AF for a 360 game (while FM2 doesn't).
