Ah so that's how Che was able to say 4XAA was still in when he was called out on the Xbox.com page changing on the sly! Well I guess he's technically right.

I don't know why they couldn't have said from the start something along the lines of, "We're aiming for a rock solid 60 FPS at 720p and physics X times pers second and that's paramount. We have AA but when things get busy it will degrade gracefully to maintain 60fps, we think it's important."

It wouldn't have inspired much confidence but as the screens came out people's worse expectations would have been downplayed and they wouldn't be in the horrible PR mess they have been with it.

I'm afraid though Op there will be almost no time left to address such issues. They'll be going to cert this week if they haven't already to make a May 29th release date. The last few weeks will have been getting ready to make sure it's passes that process.

I'm hoping the big ticket item for this game is the online. For me it needs to do for racing games online what Halo 2 did for FPS.

Come on. Forza 1 had extremely polygonal wheels (not the tire wheel, but what the driver uses to turn), and Forza 2 still has polygonal wheels. I dare anyone to take a photomode pic anywhere close to that "interior", I wonder how the driver manages to even see the shift stick in such pitch black darkness :P

And well, as far as graphics go, they have basically delivered about 1/2 of what they promised.

second thoughs your right , forza 2 is going to be the worst driving game ever , and all because of the low poly steering wheel......what ever !

I certainly will NOT be buying this game because of that low poly steering wheel, i mean before i saw that, the graphics looked spectacular, but now they below avg :p

It still amuses me how this thread only comes alive when there something to moan and nitpick about

Poor captures but we all know its better then that from other shots we seen and videos seems people are struggling to grasp the photo mode.

Deft, TeamXbox seems to have an equally craptastic build.





This build definately isn't the PGR3 killer we were expecting and the aliasing in some shots is pretty nasty. Hopefully this is an oooold stable build and we haven't been wooed with photomode/replay magic.

Wishlist: PGR4 with a FF wheel, 2K Legends Football, and Halo 3 with an XFPS controller. And I can dream that Halo Wars will be a Battlezone PC clone...

i think the road textures look pretty nice, but the game overall does seem very, i dunno? bland i guess. it doesnt look "bad" but it doesnt look particularly exciting either. but i never liked these sim racers. give me burnout or flatout on the other hand and its a whole different story.

the cars seem to be doing what they PGR3 cars did, where they have really bad aliasing. im not really excited about the game anyway, but graphically its no way as nice as the recent shots, at least before i was impressed from a visual standpoint, now tho it looks like another, lifeless sim racer.

Damn in direct screens it doesn't look that good at all, but it looks great on an hdtv so I guess thats all that matters. Damn aliasing going to annoy me, but whatever.

Yeah, I think it is the same track, the test track. Of notice in that second screenshot is the amount of 3D grass and how amazing it looks :D, a whole one patch........Damn, I can't believe that was one of their much talked about features in terms of graphics.

the first shot is taken with a camera so....u cant really base how it looks off of that one. But yeah, the thing that is worrying me is how I expected this game to kick PGR3's ass gfx wise, but i dunno....I played PGR3 recently and it looks damn good. And this game was in development much longer which really makes me wonder.

Hehe, i was about to post that i played PGR last night for 2 hours and it looks great, but the lighting and car physics in forza put it to shame.
The way i see x360 has two great racing games, the more the better. Theyre diff from each other in terms of gameplay, so its great to have them both.
