@ the pics: Yeah looks like they only did minor touch ups, I really hope they don't do the same with the Nürburgring... it was slightly off in track geometry, they should improve on that. On the bright side they improved the lighting a lot, I hated Tsukuba track simply because the suffocating lighting.

Great find Optimus, Forza Motorsport Twuah!---or something like that.

Anyways, some great footage in there, and not just from the game. What's that at the end? He almost runs over that guy, lol.

I hate that Greenawalt keeps making an ass out of himself. Why does he say Forza is the only game doing tireflex? He even says it twice. Are they really that uninformed, or is he simply being arrogant--either way makes him look bad.

It looks like theyve used the tracks as a base, retextured them and reworked some of the background details and a good lot of the setting models. New mountain range, remodelled ferris wheel, new lighting model and new layout in the middle of the track are very apparent. Tbh, its excusable enough, i mean the track is pretty much the same anyway and if it means they can spend their time modelling a new track then im all for it. As long as they do a full pass on it to make sure it fits with the higher graphical standards for this game. Im sure polyphony didnt remodel all their tracks between iterations of GT either, it's just a highly avoidable waste of resources.

The cars though are a different matter, if it turns out they have kept any of the previous models just to bump up the count then it just becomes inexcusable.

The video optimus posted is pretty awesome, the more and more ingame i see the more confident i am in what they are doing. It certainly all looks very solid with no rediculous artifacting like the last game. The cars all look big and chunky and solid and seem to match up to what a lot of people are claiming are "bullshots". What im really dying to see is a few replays each with a few different camera settings, its one thing that GT has always excelled in...making cars look sexy and it's something that was sorely lacking in F2.

Yeah, I love replays and I'm hoping they truly improved them this time. It sure looks like they did, but I need to see a complete replay to truly judge. I've seen some parts, and it looks like they change the camera angle a bit too quickly. The only let you see some action for about 3 seconds max.

3:10 into that forza at lemans video the gameplay looks unbelievable.

Although Turn 10 would really one up the competition and revolutionize the genre by being first serious racing sim to have a gigantic monster stomping around during gameplay which shakes the ground and thus affects driving physics.

Its not arcade at all, its definately a sim just with lots of assists to help the non-hardcore drivers :)

Its not arcade at all, its definately a sim just with lots of assists to help the non-hardcore drivers :)

But I didnt feel PGR4 too arcadey either and I liked it,granted is not Burnout but its more accessible rigth?

Or its way too hardcore?,I mean this game really looks amazing but I need to feel like a game and not like some sim program to learn how to drive and get bored because I dont feel the sense of speed or something.

Shit I need to do more research.

Go download the forza 2 demo from live, thatll show you what we mean.

The game is a sim with some options to make it a bit less hardcore. PGR is an arcade racer with drifting and points and all sorts using some real world cars.
Its not like you are learning to drive either, its a sim racing game, you race like you race in real life, in most ways its more sim than GT aswell, crashing has more of an impact and could end your race (thankfully they have rewind now).

Dammit I dont have internet but I will go and watch some youtube vids of Forza 2,maybe Im using the term Arcade racer wrong here because I do like PGR4 and that game doesnt feel anything like Burnout,thats what Im talking about.

I dont mind some hardcore racing what I do mind its the damn sense of speed I want my adrenaline go insane while I dont know if I will make to the end line in 1 position or if I take a turn my car doesnt go drifting like 30 miles LOL well thats cool.

So you are saying that Forza its nothing like PGR4 and nothing like Burnout?

I dont think I ever played this kind or racer before then.
