Awww man, so want some direct feed pics of that. If we can fix the ingame cam by just messin with the FOV then damn.
Don't really care much for cockpit view as i wont be using it but I must say, this is a pretty cool feature :)

Yea, i saw those on GAF, the 62 degrees one puts the cam back where it used to be in the initial vids. Only downside is you cant look left or right with those settings (it expects widescreen, so it thinks the other xboxes are rendering what you could see anyway), but its a sacrifice well worth it.
It does show some limitations though, the intro style only displaying a single car is a bit strange...

The intro is only showing a single car because that's the only car racing, look behind the car on the "Old Intro" shot. Also, notice how it say Place 1/1 on the screenshots above :)

That's how it works really, you tell it how it is, and you get banned. And yeah, it sucks balls, and it doesn't make sense. How can PGR4 PM pics be so clean, and this game, a true first party game, has such awful compression? It really makes no sense. Bandwidth issues? When you are letting people upload video? Are you serious?

By the way, when Che said the compression may be improved later on.........bullshit.

I heard the compression for video was not too bad, it's just the fact that clips are extremely limited in length (30secs?).

This game is fucking awesome. I don't have any problems with screenshot compression. But video compression isn't that good, but this is clearly a trade-off to take care for server storage. A video coded in 720p with a length of 20s has a size oft ~26MB, this is really acceptable.

People already come up with shots that look miles better than any shot put out by Che/Turn10 (bar the compression). Aesthetics - they don't have a sense for that...




I know this is whiny, but why can't the game look like that?
