Well, The Flood kinda don't have a look per se, they're just messed up versions of whatever they infested.

I think the problem with both so far is that they're simply not particularly fun to fight. The Flood literally flood you, and The Lambent explode in your face.

Halo 3 made The Flood at least more fun to shoot at, giving a better sense of feedback the way they broke apart, but I really hope The Lambent have actual unique and fun behavior patterns or they'll end up with a Halo 2 Brute situation.

Mr Simon, only some explode once there on there last dying breath, others mutate in various ways that will cause you to change tactics all on the fly, so to say it will not be fun is a bit short sighted, and this is Gears baby fun fun fun all the way!! :)

What? They didn't mutate, they just glowed and exploded in your face. In Gears 2 The Lambent were little more than normal enemies with FX bling.

Oh are you talking about Gears2?, i thought you were talking about Gears3. Anyway yeah the Lambent were just teased in Gears2 according to CliffyB, Gears3 will be a whole new ballgame!

This more advanced form of Lambent being wasn't in Gears 2 though. I'm purely talking about the new breed brought in for Gears 3.

So i've just seen the scans from Game Informer, there out there in HD just do a search ;) and WOW!! not only is this game going to be one of the best lookers of 2011, but the game itself is shaping up to be off the charts fun also.

Just found them, sweet mary stuuning stuff, and the gameplay details so far sound superfun, and were still almost a year out!

Saw them also, did you read up on some the new crazy weapons and bad ass locust we will be facing!, its looking so amazing, in motion it must look even better, i wonder why there waiting till next year april to release, i mean its looking very polished as it stand?

to avoid natal, last thing you want when you're launching a new peice of hardware is a peice of software to take all the attention away from it.

Mechs,RPG elements, more emphasis on squad, 4 player co-op, Baird and Cole getting their own game play segments and it's all looking good!!

It's a minor gripe, but I don't like how unrealistic Marcus's arms are. His forearms are just as big as his upper arms, it just looks really odd, his legs are almost as bad.

I'm sure the graphics are gonna be stunning, but I don't see why they can't make the characters have a slightly more realistic build, even if they have comic book like builds. oh well.

I'm just dying to here what they have added to Horde mode as that part of gears 2 was by far my favorite part of the second game. If they add some kind of boss battle to each map it would be even better!

It looks like they just took the same player model and put a "skin texture" over it, instead of remaking it to show proper muscle tone. I know this is starting to sound a little "iffy" going on about some guys' arms lol, but I just find the lack of proper proportion really distracting for some reason. I'm sure I'll get used to it over time.

we've managed to cope with it through the entire unreal tourney games, and gears of war 1 and 2, i'm sure people arnt going to miss out on the third just cos of weird arm proportions.
