It´s my native language, so I will give a short summary. Since I don´t how I can make the spoiler content black like other do, I will make it noticeable with a gap.

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Critics are: controls (they seem not accurate and intuitive enough, especially when you are in the Hermes level since it´s fast paced. They say that the level design of Hades was a bit disappointing and boring and that they were more impressed by the hell levels of Dante´s Inferno. There are puzzles that might make some gamers see red.

About Levels: There will be two levels taking place entirely on titans

Praise: Graphics are among the best what the PS3 has offered till now. Some Levels will make you speechless by their presentation and sheer scale. Otherwise not a lot of exceptional praise. Just the typical "an overall great game and a must buy for every action game fan."

SPOILER ENDING!!!!!

Personally I´m pretty disappointed by the footage that is shown. Apart from some epic moments with Gaia and Poseidon the gameplay didn´t make me more curious. Let´s wait for other footage. I´m also surprised by the average comments in this review. Nothing really extremely spectacular.

Yeah that sounds bout right I expect a lot of 8 and maybe some 7 only for the graphics and those will get you not far enough to raise the bar in anything really.

Looks beyond awesome and the scale its off the charts but thats it,Im questioning why they didnt tried new things maybe if there was Jaffe still involved he would inovate in the gameplay and combat department.

I dunno. I really don't think you and Sath are looking at it without your NG/Bayonetta-tinted glasses on. Not everyone needs mad combos in their games. Didn't you guys like Darksiders despite it's brutally simple and repetitive combat?

With respect to review scores, I see no reason why this wouldn't at least match or surpass Uncharted 2...a game that got by on looking great, being cinematic, and not really raising the bar gameplay-wise.

I dont mind the simple way of combat, what bothers me in GOW is that the combat isnt evolved in any way at all and this is in the THIRD installment. Grabbing minions and tackling others...wow, how much can that last or controlling a big troll and hammer away, fun. They havent polished the weight of the attacks, along with enemy reactions and their animations and the SFX when hiiting...it doesnt feel like.

For example I bought MAG, thought it was fun and all. But then I played BC2, everything in terms of polishness and gunplay in BC2 made MAG look and feel like a PSN game rather a full fledged game.

The devs for GOW3 arent focusing on combat as much as they are with graphics and how big of a scale it has. I am sure the selling point for GOW3 will be just that, visuals and scale while fans of GOW, well they are fans.

Besides, I dont want a NG, DMC or whatever clone in combat, I want a polished combat system that is fun and has fresh combos, enough so it doesnt feel repetitive, be it complex or simple and Darksiders did just that. Simple to some extend, tight controls, polished combat system.

Uncharted 2 is a shooter, you cant do much, its harder to come up with ideas to raise the bar with shooters.
Atleast with Uncharted 2 they added alot of new stuff compared to Uncharted 1 with a very fun MP and co-op, new types of stealth kills, tighten the gunplay and cover system more, basically polished it more so it feels just right...just like Mass Effect to Mass Effect 2.

the scale and visuals are something you watch anyways so I will check it out on youtube when people with proper quality footage has it up.
Ewww. Visuals are definitely not something you can watch well on Youtube of all places.

To me, that's pretty contradictory. Darksiders' combat was nothing if not repetitive, and it certainly didn't have what I'd call "fresh" combos.
They havent polished the weight of the attacks, along with enemy reactions and their animations and the SFX when hiiting...it doesnt feel like.
I'll have to replay the demo again and check this out. It definitely is something that should be polished up in a game like this. NG2 was pretty ace at this... and in all honesty, Conan was too. I enjoyed the shit outta playing that game due largely in part to how the enemies reacted to getting hit. Maybe it's difficult to have his particular weapons convey a proper sense of weight? I dunno.
Uncharted 2 is a shooter, you cant do much, its harder to come up with ideas to raise the bar with shooters.
I was just using that as an example to counter IRAIPT0IR's prediction. A game can score well without "raising the bar gameplay-wise" as long as the gameplay is good, and it's got some other great facets to back it up.

Well no that is true, youtube isnt the right place. But its a free place, with some patience, wait for nice direct 720p footage...I have patience :)

Darksider IS repetitive to some extend, but it takes time to master the timing of moves to keep going at it, sometimes I shocked myself how badass some combos turned out, and I am one person that cant easily get impressed.
It depends how a player plays. Someone that hasent this genre as a #1 its combat or know how to make up combos is harder for the ones that is.
You might not be like me to keep trying to figure out more combos as much as possible for it the moves to be "fresh" looking, but if you were then you might be surprised what that game could achieve. Unfortunetly I dont have the game anymore else I would upload a video trying my best to do neat combos.
The demo though, I can say that it has nothing on the full game. By mid game to end you have increased many weapons and unlocked alot of moves and abilities, the demo wont let you do a damn thing compared to the final game.

I am going to say this...even if GOW3 is out, I will still watch gameplay footages to see how much more "non demo Kratos" version its like, hopefully with more weapons, especially with Hades weapons because that one caught my interest of the bunch :)

Yeah, I'm not sure why you brought up the demo. I rented the game, and while you can rack up combos, the overall move list and the flow between moves isn't anything special. Also, enemies' reactions, espcially the mid-to-large ones, are quite often non-existent...with numerous attacks going right through them with nothing to show for it.

It really sounds like you're granting a LOT more leeway to whatever isn't GoW3.

Well you said "I'll have to replay the demo again and check this out." thats why I brought up the demo, I didnt know you rented it :(
But as I said, it depends on the player and how good you are at it, nothing new really.

I have played GoW2 and Chains of Olympus from start to finish and watched alot of videos of GoW1 with only combat...thats why I am so harsh on GoW3 because they are on the 3rd installment and they havent brought anything interms of combat to the genre, yet people are exagerating like its the end of the genre, king of all...etc. for what? scale and visuals?

I never said GoW3 will be bad or anything though, I would ban myself from this place if I ever did lol.
One thing I have always said is the combat is "good enough" to make the job done to experience GoW, but as a fan of the genre, its not worth getting it when there are better titles out there, unless you are a big fan of GoW then thats another thing.

But hey, if you enjoy it, buy it and have fun!

Is it the same vid as from the link above??? Ha ha, it´s again in my native language^^ I´m downloading it right now Can´t wait, I´m really excited!!!

Just finished watching. Well.. the combat indeed looks very "coarse". The hit detection seems not very accurate. But that would probably look different with a different player. After I played the first two games I didn´t care for the combat anyway. I don´t know why but I´m still not that impressed with the scale and the titans. It might be one of this things that affects you more by playing then watching. Judging would have been a lot easier if the vid hadn´t ended right at the beginning of the Poseidon fight, I guess. So let´s wait till we get some more complete gameplay.

The aesthetics and concept works fine, the animation in some of those clips though...who did that? Who approved that!? The way the knife jerks at around 1:25, as one example, is just awful, i don't see how that made it in there at all.

considering the quality of it all, i think i can let it slide. the thing is like an opening to a movie...it's rare you ever see that in a game.

It's just that it's easy to fix, shouldn't be there and, at least for me, detracts pretty much from the overall impression. But it's just not that particular one either, i think all of the animations in the intro there feel very unprofessional. They are all floaty and jerky. It especially stands out when it's such a high profile game i think.

different strokes i guess. i kinda wish all games had open credits of this quality tho. it really speaks volumes as to what sort of experience you're going to get. even MGS4's (a massively cinematic game) didnt have title credits as appealing as this imo. in fact, other then the recent heavy rain (which had very 'panic room-esque' credits) i can't even think of any decent opening credits for games...some have awesome end credits...but opening credits? i'm kinda drawing a blank.

KORN: i guess i just don't care which context the animations are in, they are still pretty bad :P

Raptor: your opinion does not count, your bias is way to extreme. In fact i don't think the word "extreme" qualifies to describe your affection for Bayonetta ;)
