Forge/Theater are going to change gaming.

When I first read about Forge (in an early draft of the manual no less!) I thought that. I think a lot of people don't get it yet but they will. I was staggered they didn't show this at E3, it would have made so much sense to do so.

I know people whine that it's a map object editor and not a map creator but with the tools Bungie have put in, there's going to be some cool stuff to come out of it. Halo 2 is still one of the most played games now. People will be playing Halo 3 for a long time.

After the cinema paradiso vidoc we were tooling about hitting rockets with gravity hammers and trying to catch one inside a bubble shield. Totally fruitless endeavour but an hour went just like that.

Then we tried to see how far we could blow a warthog out of sandtrap :D

Next thing to try is a proper game of Dodgeball. I think it's doable, with scoring. Just need to a good spot on the right map :D

They criticize the music rather harshly when it gets praise from everywhere else, and really, it's hard to believe they messed up with music, Marty wouldn't fail us.

The music is awesome. There's absolutely no way you can give this game any less than 9.5 for sound design in my opinion.

Also, whilst we're on Forge. There is a video on Bungie favourites entitled "Rocket Race" around Sandtrap. I showed it to a friend and the first words out of his mouth were;

We no longer need Mario Kart....

Perhaps that's a little over-kill but it looked as fun as hell.

Don't watch video reviews. They won't have big spoilers, but overall I think they degrade the experience, I say hold it a bit more. I watched the gametrailers one, I kind of tried to not pay much attention lol, do as you please though!

the only spolier in there is the bit where you look up down left and right is on it...i skipped it on a bit wen i saw that, otherwise its not reli spoils anyting, mostly footage from MP and the 1st level

I think thats what amazes me the most, the fact that a game with such a ridiculous amount of hype and super high expectations can still hold its own and come along with such great reviews.

I do love the added immersion these ads are having, but they do seem to be taking a lot from the books rather the game itself, so i can understand why most people are calling it overhyped and daft ads, if they read the books they would "get it" and most definatly "belive"

They are improved (was bashing a troll last night for calling it Halo HD). It also is better than many early titles on the 360 that were improvements over the Xbox versions, but still held back by many of the same limitations. That said, Halo 3 isn't the most impressive game I have seen on the 360 and is lacking in quite a few areas. From a gameplay perspective it is irrelevant as they totally serve their purpose, but from a technical one I cannot say I am going gagga over Halo 3. Some really nice stuff going on, but also at the expense of other stuff. par for the course for Bungie, which is being a solid 1st party effort in terms of graphics and a killer app/industry leading title in terms of total package.
