I think of the best things we've heard is that space combat is just one of many surprises in the campaign. I'm struggling to think of ways in which we can be surprised even more, but I bet they've come up with some real gems.

Personally, I'd love to be on the planet when it goes down the pan, and I want it to be spectacular.

I like the redesigned Brutes, theyfinally look good and vicious. It took Bungie three iterations, but it might be worth it at the end of the day.

Just watched a demo of the game and the guy from Bungie said that the space battle will NOT be in the MP, it's a SP experience only. Oh well, would have been fun but I understand if it didn't fit their design enough, even though a simple "dog-fight" mode would have been a fun little distraction imo.

All the Firefight stuff I've seen has me really hyped for all the amazing co-op fun coming my way this september.

There's no doubt in my mind that there'll be space boarding. You don't put the player into outer space, and not allow them to board some ship or station of some kind. The space section is an obvious setup for a boarding of some kind.

Brian wanted me to make sure that I clarified the distinction between male and female and further expounded on the role that player customization plays across all of Reach’s modes. All of your Spartan armor choices and investments, with a few notable exceptions (i.e. Flaming Helmet in Campaign cutscenes) translate across all game modes. That goes for gender as well. So, while we were showing off Noble Six’s female side in our Campaign trailer and in Firefight, if you’re more into the manly stuff it’ll totally be your call. You get to flip that switch.
And there’s more. Noble Six isn’t the “strong, silent type,” either. Both male and female voice actors were cast for the role, so whichever gender you choose, you’ll won’t miss out on any facet of the full campaign experience.

Ah, that's great to hear. I was concerned that Noble Six would have what I call the 'COD' syndrome - i.e. you take part in the action, but you never feel like you're central to what's going on; you're more of an observer. Thus, knowing that Noble Six will actually have dialogue makes me very happy, as it implies that his character will be important to the overall plot.

Bungie really does have all the bases covered.
