BJ:Reach is not a Natal title. From the ground up, it was always going to be designed around the traditional controller. Millions of people have spent billions of hours [playing Halo with the Xbox controller]. That's how they've come to know and experience Halo. Natal didn't even exist until we were well over halfway into our development cycle for Reach. There's no way that's going to work out.

We're excited to see how developers will use Natal. For us, what we're doing doesn't quite fit with it right now - but I know there are a lot of people out there who will do some really cool things with it.
That's as explicit and definitive as you get people. Consider the matter now closed as per a couple of pages back.

No, it was not. At least, not to my knowledge. The original statement on Natal was one that easily provided plenty of wiggle room if it turned out that the game really did have Natal support later. It wasn't so much about what they said the first time around, but what they didn't say. This time, however, with what deft posted, the issue has properly been put to rest in an even more explicit and seemingly open and shut manner than what I was even expecting to see them say originally.

Yes. It was. Explicit was even the word Bungie used, which apparently is open to interpretation. But who cares. Case closed. Again.
