well there are running realistic as the way to jump, roll, fall, shoot, crouch and throw grenades. Running like that is realistic in terms of movement.

PS. Yeah I know there are non-snowy levels to =).

Dark Sector is my most anticipated game ever, and it looks awesome. Can't wait for 2007 and for it's first trailer for gameplay. The teaser was awesome.

Which level did you like better? the snow level or the non snow level? I liked the non snow level better because its smaller.

I played Team Elimination on this snow map. Only 3 people. I found the aiming difficult. I need to up the sensitivity, and all in all it felt slower than the SP demo. I had to use the bumpers to turn around and look. I'm just not used to doing that. If they'd put a pause menu to adjust these settings then it'd be perfect. But like GOW, I don't expect to be doing to much multiplayer with the game.

I didn't like the controls. Too hard to aim. Well I can save the money for something else :)

coming from GOW's MP, id have to say Lost Planet's is no where near as fun, but it's still good.. good thing the release date is still a month away, that'd give people some time to get bored with GoW.

after i saw i could not invite my friends to the same game i turned the demo off, sitll will by the game though :D but IF you cant invite your friends in the finished game, i wont buy it

I loved the demo! The first thing I did was up the sensativity to maximum. Once you do that, it handles a lot like gears of war.

16 player games get totally hectic. It gets really tough to get on a roll due to the nature of spawn points on the map with that many people.

Team games are great, but can be tough.

The one thing that really kills the demo is the amount of team killers. There are way too many people who do nothing but go around shooting everyone and generally being an ass. Because this is a demo, there are no host tools to boot them.

I liked the demo. It's good fun. For those saying "I didn't like the aiming" "Too slow", did you guys try changing the settings? The default is ridiculous, so that maybe why it feels that bad.

I'm using "Fixed 8" which moves the camera very fast and it just feels right.

One thing I didn't like is that when you are getting shot you can't move, so if you are in the open and someone shoots you from behind, you are pretty much dead. I also don't like how it takes ages to get up and recover from an explosion.

I like how you can change the camera to basically a first person camera, but sadly every time you use the hook, or throw a grenade it changes back to third person. They should FIX that, yes fix that. I think that's a problem. Also the hook or whatever it is called could have a bit more reach.

That's in terms of gameplay. In graphics, I didn't like the freaking orange flash after EVERY explosion. Even a grenade exploding 1 miles away and you being underground, the flash somehow gets you anyways. It gets annoying, and it really feels more like a glitch than a decision by them, so I hope it gets fixed.

That's what I didn't like, now what I liked. I like the map a lot. It looks like well balanced to me, with three paths to the same place. 16 players feels like the perfect fit, at least for that map. The inclusion of the mechs is awesome, and you are not at a great disadvantage if you are on foot, you can still fight back. The grenades are something especial in this game. I especially like the decoy grenade, that one is extremely cool. The green grenade that soars in the air is also a fun one to use, especially against slow mechs. Of course the graphics are very good too. I didn't catch a framerate drop, and the fairly destructible environments are also great. The explosions are great, but I think I see a downgrade from the single player. That's fine I guess.

I think the game has a fun multiplayer side to it, and with a few tweaks here and there, it could have a good lasting appeal.

Yeah that was the first thing I did. I tried those different settings but could not find good one. When I get the turning speed good then aiming is too fast and can't hit anyone. Really don't like to use buttons to turn view. This really sucks I have been waiting this demo really much.

I LOVE the aiming, fine aiming is so much easier with the default setting.

As for getting out of the way of being shot you should use the Left Thumbstick Click + A to dive, works nicely.

Playing Team games is impossible. 3/4 games I play have active team killers doing their best to be an asshole.

Well I've finely had the chance to check this one out a bit--and I like it. The demo has some flaws that are more demo related than game related--like dumping you from games before they start or the fact that you can't stay in a lobby once the round is over..but I'm not going to hold that much against them in a pre-release trial.

How do you play this other map that everyone is talking about? I heard that you got to play it early with a pre-order? Is that legit--and can I still get the bonus now?

so Famitsu gave LP 34/40 and DOAX2 a 35/40....anyone else see a problem there?

Luckly I learned that Famitsu reviews are total BS, and shouldn't be taken seriously by any means.
