I'm taking default shep again.

Just incapable of creating a shep that looks as cool as the original.
I know I've mentioned it before (mostly to dc), but I managed to make one that looked a little bit like Bruce Willis from the old Die Hard films. He looks very cool indeed, which is why I shall be using him for ME2.

Wow if he looks like Bruce Willis from the old Die Hard Films then that is pretty amazing :D

It would be awesome if Bruce Willis lent his voice to a future Mass Effect game. It's the way of the future man. Actors take their acting to videogames :)

We better play Shepard through the whole game, the last game I remembered trying that was highly unpopular because of it. I'm talking about MGS of course.

I suspect what they'll end up doing is make us play the game from the perspective of another vitally important character at some point in the game, and your decisions while playing as this character, will have a direct impact on whether or not Sheperd survives.

Supposedly in Mass Effect 2 Sheperd is now going to be encountering the more ruthless aspects of the universe and will be showing a the darker side of himself as it were.

He'll apparently be in situations where he'll have to be far tougher than he was in the first game. I very much welcome that :D

Can't wait to get a glimpse of who the next primary antagonist will be.

Aside from the reapers of course.

Basical its going to be the illusive man i think? but after reading the second book i am very interested to see how he is portrayed, as he is not really a baddie in my eyes just a bit misguided.

If the UE3 enhancements carry over as well as I hope looking at the difference from GOW 1 to GOW 2 then Mass Effect 2 will absolutely blow minds :D

If they also manage to smooth out the framerate, although it didn't decrease my enjoyment of the game any, then that will go a long way towards making the already insanely fun shootouts even more fun.

Question, Mass Effect fans.

I am thinking of giving the first Mass Effect a second shot. Did bioware release a patch to fix the framerate issues of the game ?

I started re-playing it for the PC. So much better as far as graphical and performance issues go. And the aiming and inventory system is managed a lot better. I'll miss my 360's Shepherd, but I can't play Mass Effect 2 without these improvements.

All i know is that the PC fans ae up in arms about the PC version not getting a patch not sure what the patch will fix exactly, but they are all clamering for it, as they are not happy and say it ruins the game for them, so personally i would play it on the 360 and install to the had drive it plays much smoother IMO.

Alimo give the game a chance. It's definitely one of those games where you will absolutely regret not seeing it through to the end. The framerate, in my opinion, practically becomes a total non-issue in the game, especially once you get an even better feel for the combat.

My philosophy was that I shouldn't try too hard to turn it into a true shooter. I use the pause capability every single chance I get to lineup an enemy and ensure that I don't land myself in trouble and it works great. There are moments where you can do your thing for extended periods without taking advantage of that, but generally I take full advantage of it.

That ability is what makes this game a successful RPG or game in general. Without that it would be such a different game. The framerate in Blue Dragon for example, when things became rough, were to me far more of an issue than the ones in Mass Effect once you really get into it and you know how much I love Blue Dragon :)

Aye, I recently started over again and installing it really helps the popups, loading times and framerate in general. It's far more enjoyable, imo.

Yea, it's 360 version all the way for me. If Mass Effect 2 benefits from upgrades to UE3 in a similar fashion that GOW2 did, then we're in for a serious treat.

Yep installing to the hard disc does help, it ran better for me anyway.
