Ditto. This is easily my favourite sci-fi art design. That robot looking thing is so badass looking.

I agree with you guys, looks amazing and with Ronsauce saying sci-fi art design, and I agree with him, one of the best designs in sci-fi.

I mean just look at it, looks ridiuclously amazing visually and artistically, one problem though, hopefully they fix those texture pop ins that the first one had, and more armor/weapon designs this time would be good.

If I ever get a 360 again (depending on situation and if I got enough money), definitely picking this one up!

PS. I thought scans wasen't allowed to be posted here unless its Famitsu.

According to Bioware they've fixed the texture pop in.

OMFG THE GAME LOOKS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wait.. what? Another year? Mass Effect 2 isn't coming out this year?

I can't wait to get my hands on this thing. The moment I saw Gears 2, I instantly thought about what kind of possibilities the improvements meant for Mass Effect 2. Looks like I won't be disappointed.

Can you guys also imagine if the framerate was flawless on top of it? As it is right now I have no issues with the framerate of Mass Effect 1, but if they end up making it perfect then that would just blow my mind :D

All i know is that the PC fans ae up in arms about the PC version not getting a patch not sure what the patch will fix exactly, but they are all clamering for it, as they are not happy and say it ruins the game for them, so personally i would play it on the 360 and install to the had drive it plays much smoother IMO.

I started re-playing it for the PC. So much better as far as graphical and performance issues go. And the aiming and inventory system is managed a lot better. I'll miss my 360's Shepherd, but I can't play Mass Effect 2 without these improvements.
I think I'll go with the guy who has actually played it on the PC versus what y'all "heard."

I like how I notice touches that the architecture is even more complex than in the previous game and I like the major increase in size inside the Normandy.

I believe we were looking at Shepherd's room.

@ Grfit - Hey 'm only going by what i hear everyday on the Bioware Mass Effect forum from the PC folks, to tell the truth they really piss me off as anytime a mod mentions that DLC content is on its way or looking good for ME1 in come the moaning PC clan, demanding a fix for the pc version before Bioware should be concentrating on DLC, many of them have been bannd for there constant moaning.

Back to the game. PURE SEX!! reading that magazine has only made the wait impossible!, it seems that all the faults are being addressed and all the exellent points from ME1 are being tweaked to be made even better, i love how now they mention that the conversations have now been given even more Hollywood flair, and that even in the middle of a firefight you can now have what i assume is a tacticle conversation with a sqaudmate whilst bullets are wizzing past your head and the action continus in a versy cinematic way, also the new interupt machanic sounds so cool, cant wait to see it in action. The graphics looks so uch better and the THANE character looks amazing and he is def joining my sqaud, assasinations FTW!! :).

Yea, what bitches, wanting support for their games! :/

And hey I'm only going by what the dude in this very thread (who has actually played it) said. I have not heard one complaint from Phaethon, only that the PC version runs smoother, looks worlds better, and has a better UI. Yes, that sounds terrible! /s

It's surprising that Bioware hasn't patched the PC version.. being a PC developer. With a lot of console-to-PC ports that kind of support (or lack there of) is expected. With Bioware I certainly would expect more than that. I guess that's why people are upset.

Gamers are a fickle bunch though. One moment they will love you and as soon as they're not pleased with something they'll turn against you. That's a given.

Then Pants is lucky as they are a whole horde of PC gamers that are up in arms about ME1 on the pc, but hey Alimo can make up his own mind on the matter, and i'm sure whatever platform he plays it on as long as he gives the game a chance he will be glad he did ME1 FTW!.

It's also $20 on Steam.. but I guess it really depends on how good his machine is, and how much he wants to play it on his couch. That's the big selling point for the console version I guess.

I don't think it's luck though.. I mean I've experienced a lot of PC games in their "1.0" state without much trouble. It's not like GTA4 where performance upgrades were desperately needed.. and thankfully delivered.

Phaethon has a pretty nice rig (i7/HD4870)... but UE3 games actually run pretty well on a variety of PC's. You don't need a supercomputer to play games like Mass Effect.

It's a shame that ME2 probably won't see a simultaneous release.

Yes the first book was very dark and gritty, and it looks as though thats what ME2 is shaping up to be like.

I'd go as far as to say that this game will be what Bioware was hoping they could make the first, but there were either too many time constraints or technical issues to push forward with what they wanted to do.

I distinctly remember in the first gameplay video of mass effect that you could switch between each character in your 3 man party and use their abilities and you could also go into a mode where you could specifically place your teammates wherever you wanted them.

I thought the AI in the first mass effect was pretty damn good so I don't feel like I necessarily have to be able to control any of them, but I think I read somewhere in an interview that you can now specify where exactly it is you want individual characters in your squad to go in a firefight?

I think i remember reading somewhere on Mass Effect forums that they were working on a patch for PC version... Who knows when, if ever.
But i played the game, and worked awesome (posted my impressions on first Mass Effect game topic), besides some bugs.
It's a really good port.

As in pin point the specific spot per character? Not just designate a spot and both automatically go up there?
