Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (5 Weeks ago)

Strange memories on this nervous night in Las Vegas. Has it been five years? Six? It seems like a lifetime.
Possibly the Terminus Systems, or Unknown, I'm thinking dark space, directly after you-know-who?
Quote: where you must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of humans across many worlds.
This sticks out quite a bit to me - it either means humans are disappearing from their own colonies or humans beyond the colonies are being abducted. If the former, it could be Cerberus; if the latter it could be the Batarians.
Quote: Prepare yourself for a suicide mission to save mankind. Travel the galaxy to assemble a team of soldiers and combat specialists, and launch an all-out assault on the heart of enemy territory.
The implication here is that the enemy has a territory to invade - that leads me to think it's something to do with either the Geth or the Batarians. Maybe 'Bring Down the Sky' had more to do with ME2 than anybody thought?
For me its all very interesting.
As for the above thats very interesting indeed, but i would not put too much stock into what EB Games have posted yet, but here is some more tipbits to get your teeth into (oh and btw ME1 had some of the best story writing in a game period).
From the short documentary included with the "Platinum Hits" edition of Mass Effect,
"In the second game, you're actually gonna go through a darker period where you're really looking for answers," Project Director Casey Hudson said in The Future of Mass Effect video. "It's a lot harder to find what the realities are, and there are a lot of twists and turns and it's generally a much darker experience."
"What we want to do with Mass Effect is look at universal themes, themes that apply to somebody in the future, in the past, in our present, contemporary themes," added Lead Writer Drew Karpyshyn. "So as we've explored in Mass Effect 1, we had things like love lost, consequences, choice, does the end justify the means, morality in a general sense. We're obviously going to continue with those kinds of themes."
"We've been very conscious of the ability of players to make choices, and we understand that if those choices don't have consequences that carry on through the trilogy, there is no point in making them," he continued. "That obviously has painted us into a difficult position, because we have multiple threads, multiple endings, certain characters may or may not be alive. It's created extra work for us, but we felt it was really necessary to capture what we were going for in Mass Effect." As a result, BioWare is creating "alternate version of all sorts of scenarios" to accommodate the various possible outcomes in Mass Effect which will dramatically affect the way the game unfolds.

The team will be roughly 30 strong and about half of those people will be brought in from the existing BioWare Edmonton team. GameDaily notes that some of these people worked on the original Mass Effect. The rest will be new hires.
"We're really excited about it, and we think it's going to be a huge opportunity to tap into the talent base in Montreal while supplementing our existing teams in Edmonton and Austin, which are doing some great stuff on all the other projects BioWare's working on," Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare told GameDaily.
Muzyka also noted that BioWare has a couple secret projects to announce at a later date. You don't say?

A better framerate, less pop-in and, and considerably better animations/facial animations! would be very welcome in terms of technology.

if disc space IS an issue where the random planets are concerned, then i'd rather the additional random planets not be there at all, and instead increase the amount of quests to do between each "fully" fleshed out world, like the citidel etc. cos even some of the "propper" planet locations didnt really have much side stuff to do on them outside of progressing the story.
theres a lot the sequel can improve on. but the foundation is so solid that i cant imagine them screwing it up.

“We’re going to surpass the extraordinary gaming experience we brought our fans in Mass Effect by delivering intensified combat and expanded weapon options as well as increased depth of planet exploration, all while delivering a powerful, emotionally engaging story,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager and CEO, BioWare and General Manager and Vice President, EA. “Mass Effect 2 is shaping up to be an unforgettable RPG-shooter experience, taking players on a non-stop roller-coaster ride filled with stunning plot twists and no-holds-barred action.”
Mass Effect 2 is coming to PC and the Xbox 360 video game system in Early 2010. To see the exclusive new Mass Effect 2 teaser trailer check out the website here: www.masseffect.com.
Also early 2010 seems like a nice time. This and Elemental at the beginning of the next year. Good stuff.
