Mass Effect reviews!

Game Informer Review: 9.75/10

It's an adventure that is so captivating that you'll be counting the days for the sequel.
It takes interactive storytelling to new heights, and brings the player closer to content than ever before.
It's easily one of the year's best titles and one of the most impressive games to date. [Nov 2007, p.151]

XBox evolved: 9.8/10
http://xboxevolved.e-mpire.com/article/Mass_Effect...

Electronic Gaming Monthly: 9,9.5,9

Far from being a ponderous sci-fi exposition, Mass Effect boasts a dynamic, well-constructed story with a broad emotional range. [Holiday 2007, p.82]

Official Xbox Magazine: 10/10

Personally, it's the best game I've ever played, but even if you're not a hardcore sci-fi nerd like me, Mass Effect is a transcendent experience, the new standard-setter for what a game can be. You have to play it, and that's why we're kinda jealous of you.
Even if you memorized all the previews and trailers, you're not ready for how awesome this game is. [Holiday 2007, p.58]

Xbox World 360 Magazine UK: 9/10

Never before has storytelling been so competently ingrained into a videogame, and never before has a player had so much freedom to dictate the course of a linear storyline.
Mass Effect isn't the laser-spewing monolith of a game we expected it to be, but it is far, far, far from a disappointment. [Christmas 2007, p.56]

Stop trying to damage EDGE's credibility. Everyone makes mistakes. I'm pretty sure DC made a mistake anyway, those are the EGM scores.

Google it, theres a hell of allot of people saying the same thing, think theres some scans out there to, but were not allowed those, so no more talk of them :).

Just watched the IGN video review. Sounds good to me, don't think the thechnical issues will annoy me since this is not a shooter where reaction time is crucial. And... I like the blue alien "dancers" they show at the end of the review. ^^

I dont think they are EDGE scores. They dont give X.5 scores and it's ONE score for each game not three. EDGE that reivews Assassins Creed and Mass Effect isnt out yet :)

Yeah, there are some pretty bad technical issues at times, it hought it was just my DVD Drive acting up, oh well. Anyway it doesnt take anywthing away from the overall enjoyment of the game, its that damn good!

VideoGamer 10/10

Mass Effect is the most beautiful dice roll you never saw. It is an illusion, a picture perfect disguise, one that makes the foundations upon which role playing games are built - statistics, levelling up, character development - dissolve in an HD gust of wind. Because of this Mass Effect transcends its genre - a genre that began with a notepad, pen and dice all those years ago - and fully deserves its rightful place in the pantheon of science-fiction entertainment.
