For a few years now, I have been using Gamersyde as my go to place to always have the most high quality video footage of the newest games, just as I go to Digital Foundry for the best technical analysis. I would even go as far and say Gamersyde are the industry standard for what they do. then I saw on the right, their Patreon, asking for $400 goal and still beign short by a $100 of reaching it.

It kind of pissed me off, how the hell does that drama queen Yong Yea, get $2000 in Patreon...he literally waits for the most popular gaming news and then makes a video about it next day, just paraphrasing everything that has been saidd alredy million of times. And those clickbait titles.... I honestly thought Gamersyde would be supported way more. Its a shame what world we live in when people would rather give a basement dweller more cash to hear him read the most controversial news out loud.

Anyway, my small rant which I woulddnt even thing about posting untill I saw the current Patreon status of GS.

when it comes to patreon and indie game devs, I support such creators, but some other types of creators like you mentioned, would probably be a hard sell for me. 😅
