Resident Evil 5 is the best looking game I have EVER seen!!

Looks like Capcom is trying to pull a Resident Rip-off.

The DLC reuses all the assets that already exist in the game, the only new thing is the menu image, which is prolly around 200kb itself and ofcourse the code for the new gameplay rules.
So again, its not on disc. Small filesize doesn't indicate unlock key, unless ofcourse its at the 108kb mark. This is just IGN talking out of their misinformed ass, unless we can open the DLC and see what it holds, nobody can say its an unlock code, if anything the filesize ( and the patch) indicate that they definitly introduced content that didn't exist yet.
And even if it's not on the disc, like hell I'm going to pay $5 for a mode that doesn't even seem like it will work well with the game mechanics or will be supported with additional maps or bug fixes.

Again a patch(which was 45mb on the ps3) and ~2mb download, -strongly- indicates that it does "represents content that was created outside the scope of the original design ".
Again 10k lines of code doesn't even reach 300kb, I'm sure the versus dlc doesn't even need more then a few hundred lines, the rest goes into sound, ui, menu.
I'm not saying you should buy it, heck if you don't want it simply don't buy it. I'm just saying that nobody can say it IS an unlock code unless we can peek inside of the DLC, simply because the filesize indicates otherwise.

Why Capcom feels the need to charge their fans for something, that everyone else already gives away for free, is beyond me.
As gamers, we should never justify or qualify such actions. We were told at the start of this generation, the price of games were going up $10 to cover the increasing price of development. And this gen, more than any other gen before it, has not only produced more million sellers than imaginable, but the games that are selling in the millions are selling in higher numbers than in any previous generation. So you mean to tell me, that this gen with games selling more than they ever have before, despite of a $10 hike in the price for the product, and a company like Capcom still can't deliver a VS mode in their game for free like everyone else . . . on a game that moved over 4 million copies the first week it came out?
Now that's some fine smellin' BS there, my brotha.
Look. If we start saying to publishers that it is okay to nickel and dime us to death, then it will not be long before games are costing us almost $100 each, to get the full experience. Can you imagine games where they sell you just a piece (at full price), and then come back later to keep selling all the other pieces they should have sold you at the original price in the first place: so to play the final chapter to see how the game ends, you gotta shell out $10; to play co-op, you gotta shell out $5; to play death match, another $5; to play CTF, another $5 . . . so on and so forth.
This is kinda the ground that Capcom is trying to break open here, and gamers should just be smart enough now to just say, "NO". If we don't say "no" to this stuff now, by this time next gen, every game will be this way, and we'll be shelling out $80+ just to play our favorite games they way we used to play them when they were still $50.

If they put it on the disc and still charge for it (ie, SFIV costumes), it's a big "FUCK YOU" to your customers, and something like this is just a "fuck you" to your customers.
These business models focusing on the "few-yet-enough" retards who buy in this crap are making me sick.
Mods, stop changing my SIG! I'm going to end up banning you!
The production values of this game are pretty much the highest in the industry at the moment.
So complain all you want about that "gamers" shouldn't stand up for this, but it isn't the "gamers" that are buying content like this, instead "gamers" go onto forums and blogs to bitch and moan about something nobody is forcing them to buy.
Hey no extra costumes in SF4? Sure its kind of a dick move, but would those costumes suddenly make the game that much better? Heck some of them are worse then the standard.
And please don't tell me you bought RE5 to get a wonderfull adversial experience.
I mean most of the people are even bitching about that it wouldn't be fun anyway to play a "mobile turret", then why even bitch an moan that it isn't in the game in the first place? Is it so bad to just play single/coop/mercs?
Gamers now are just spoiled and expect a game to be filled with tons of content even if they won't use some of it at all.
Excluding patches, nothing should be considered to be free, everything costs money to make even if it is just a few lines of code. If something is free be happy, if it isn't well either get it or don't.
So yeah, us "gamers' that are bitching and moaning about something we aren't being forced to buy still have a legitimate complaint about something that we wouldn't consider buying anyways.
If people, not us "gamers"(I'm not even sure why you bothered with the "gamers" thing), keep buying this shit, then this might be where we're headed.
