How do you lose a follower?

I walked around. She disappeared. She's not dead because no one else will follow me. She's probably stuck on (or in) a friggin' rock somewhere. The other two are quest NPC's. Lord knows where they went.. hopefully they appear at the required destination or my game is sorta screwed (main quest). I'm playing on normal. The issue with Dragons is more their horrible AI than difficulty. Making me watch them fly around in circles for several minutes is pretty annoying. They don't always behave like that--sometimes they engage--but it's far too frequent.

I still love the hell out of the game but some of the glitches are pretty annoying. It's par for the Bethesda course though. I'm off to dinner and when I return it's back to Tamriel. Hopefully I can finish this quest.

The dragon fights are really boring for me. The dragon flies around like a tard, lands and spews some fire at you. As long as i ahve a few health potions and enough arrows it's not difficult at all. Some other bosses have been by far more challenging to beat.

Also the radiant story system or wahtever they call it is obviously not working. I think the last 6 or 7 dungeons i've been to have all been temples with draugrs in them. After 30-something hours i'm starting to get kinda fed up with the game to be honest :P

Maybe i should jsut get on with the main story instead of seeking out words and doing random crap quests.

I've been going back and forth between the main quest and side quests and i'm still pretty entertained. Dragons are definitely underwhelming though.

Apparently there's an archery glitch where you get stuck with a big red 25 until you level up archery another level. It's not an active effect--it doesn't show up in the magic menu and it won't go away on its own.

This is really handy when I'm fighting a frost dragon and I'm stuck w/ less than half my archery skill. Neat-o.

There's some debate about alchemy being totally busted too. Apparently if you come up with too many ingredients early on, you're stuck crafting relatively low level pots even @ 100. I can't confirm this (off of the bethesda forums).

Alright, Alduin's Wall cleared. Those NPC's popped back up eventually.

I feel like I need to rescue my toon. She's nearly level 20 and she's pretty dang weak right now. I have about 10 unspent souls and perk points so I should be able to turn her around. I've mostly been sinking points into archery, and I've begun to build up single handed combat and light armor as well. I was going to use alchemy to enhance archery (it's the natural pairing).. but the discussions on the Bethesda forums on the subject have me considering enchantment and smithing instead.

Any thoughts? Lock pick is useless.. and pick pocket only seems worth while for the extra inventory space.

I've seen my follower die, to the point you can loot her corpse.
I usually reload from an earlier save when this happens

10 unspent perks and dragon souls?, damn you can have so much fun with combat if you spend them and mix up your tactics with different foes.. get on it!

Yeah, here's the tactics you need: Pick the weapon you are strongest with, proceed to hammering triggers/mouse buttons untill foe is dead. Epic win. The kingdom is saved.

If you are really advanced you learn to sneak for those extra backstabs as well.

Maybe on the an noob level that works, but not on the big boy difficulty level :)

Different enimies can be extremly hard to defeat with the wrong weapon\combat tactic's on the higher difficulty levels.

Wel i'm just playing at the regular difficulty. I imagine that higher combat difficulty just means that enemies take more punishment, so i didn't opt for that.

@UrukHaiPT:
How do you get all thoes cool different summons?, are they found in spell books? i want i want!!!
I was able to buy it from the Conjuration mage in Winterhold. I think as you get higher on the perk trees, they sell new spells. Dremora lord is a beast, and with maxed out conjuration can have two at the same time now :D

I didn't even need to have a follower with me until now, my summons do the job, would be too crowded for dungeons :p

Maxed out conjuration next will focus on smithing and enchanting and bit alchemy, still not sure. Good way to level up smithing is to just make Hide bracers, only need leather and leather strips.

I think that's how it works. When i first got there couldn't get dremora lord, but when went check out later what he sold he had it there. He even gave me quite nice quest, to be able get the last summons atronachs, have to be high lvl in conjuration.

They are the same as regular ones tho (called Thralls), fire, ice and lightning, but summon them forever, no time limit, so they stay up til they die.

Looks like this texture pack is going forward pretty fast so far: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1...

Allows keyboard hot keys to be used while using the 360 controller: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3...

I don't have the game so I don't know how well those mods actually works. Back up before trying I guess.

they really are boring to fight since they're patterns are the exact same each and every time. they're also annoying. sometimes i leave some cave, where all i want to do is fast travel to a city and store my loot/sell it, but no, there is a dragon nearby screaming it's head off preventing me from doing so (you cannot fast travel with an enemy nearby). just fuck off and let me get on with the game.

Think i'll stay on Adept as the Dragon fights are hard enough for me, i do love them though, such a great change of pace and excitement :D

Meh, I really like the dragon fights - especially when the epic music kicks in. I agree that their AI can be a bit faulty at times, but they're mostly unpredictable in what they do (at least for me).

One of them was tailing me but I managed to lose it in the woods. Then it landed to look for me, I snuck up behind it and went at it with my axe-sword combo (plus unrelenting force to make sure it couldn't get to me). Was awesome.
