It's an American football game from Midway. Encourages a bit more violence than your average Madden! (You get power ups for breaking bones...)

I was upset about this last week, when we thought we were getting Ms. Pacman instead of nothing. Ms. Pacman is one of my favorite classic games of all time, but come on! Two releases a week, do it!

Why dont they release more stuff, dont they relise that ninty and sony are now offering these services and ninty has almost passed them already (even though i am not intrested in most the crap on theres ...mario *rolls eyes*)

I know this is pissing me off ..... Nintendo has just annonced that 36 Virtual console games will be avaialble through Jan/Feb/March/April Including Zelda Ocarina of time, that's 2 games a week at least.

News Story:

Owners of Nintendo’s revolutionary games console, Wii are in for a
retro treat at the start of 2007, with 36 new Virtual Console titles spanning Nintendo’s
twenty-year history available to download in Q1. Gamers will be able to turn back the
clock and enjoy titles which made their debut on the NES, SNES, N64, SEGA MEGA
DRIVE and Turbografx (PC Engine).

Using the Wii’s Wii Shop Channel, gamers are able to download retro games to Wii’s
Virtual Console. Once selected these games are saved to the Wii internal flash memory
and added to the console’s Wii Channel Menu allowing them to be easily accessed at
any time. The Virtual Console games that will be added to the Wii Shop Channel in Q1
include 20 Nintendo titles, 7 Turbografx (PC Engine) games and 9 classic SEGA MEGA

Why is PSU online beta up on newly released demos again?
For me it looks exactly like the same beta demo they released when they announced it. Anyway I am downloading it while its free haha, again!

PS it is up and the servers are active..plenty of people on, as well.

Crackdown DEMO delayed for "several days" because it's still going through the certification.

Huh? It doesn't say that at all, it just says that if you want to play co-op online you need to have them there at the start instead of the "drop-in, drop-out" that the full game will have.

I wonder, how long is this PSU trial supposed to last? They really don't go too deep into the details.

SEGA is proud to announce the return of the Phantasy Star Universe Xbox Live Demo.

Getting started is extremely easy! If you want to participate you must have an active Xbox Live Gold account. Once the Demo is available, you can download and play immediately!

So..we can start playing now..but when do we have to stop? Also, if I were to bite and actually buy the game, would I be able to access my trial character? These questions don't seem to have answers..atleast, not on the main site.

EDIT: And $#!$! I wanted that Crackdown demo :(

Battlestations Midway demo is supposed to drop this thursday..oh well.

Like I have always been saying...if it wasent monthly fee I would most definitely buy it in blink of an eye, its great MMO RPG game with sci-fi setting.

Ah I see, so the co-op is optional.

I'm still a bit confused here because they are referring to the demo as a "co-op demo", as in co-op only.
And if there's no offline co-op in this game, you have to go online to play the demo...

I started playing the demo again, having fun, but haven't gotten very far yet. I would enjoy this more if I could park a character here til I was ready to join up as a paying customer, but I doubt that's a possibility.

I think the Crackdown demo is both online and offline, single player and co-op. There is offline co-op in the final game, through system link only..right?

I played like 2 matches, well I was in aleast 6 but the host didn't know how to ready up :P Anyway, took me like 5mins to figure out how to launch planes from my ship, another 5 to figure out I could pilot them, had to crash 2 planes before I figured out how to control them, then later figured I could send out a whole fleet of different types. Still we lost the battle :(

However, it was oddly addicting. Had to multi-task a lot. I may just give it a rent when it's released.

I tried and my 360 locked up when I couldn't find a match, so I gave up! May give it another go.

I actually heard a lot of lock up problems with the demo, I didn't get any, but they had guys talking about it in the few matches I had.

I had it crash on me during a match, but it was smooth sailing otherwise (lol, pun). I do find it sorta amusing that this demo that was released today instead of Crackdown (awaiting certification) CRASHES my xbox 360 though. So this passes certification with flying colors..the mind boggles.

I heard the beta is restricted to level 20.

And no trail data is not transferable.
