Unless I am in a big tournament, me being a noob in a videogame is the last thing I think of, sorry but even k/d is stupid IMO. I play for entertainment and enjoyment, and thats what I am getting.
And no, there is NO excuse for insane health when the game isnt sci fi with no armor or shields, its pure shit and thats a fact.
Human enemies should die within 7 perfect shots, 1 to the head for the headshots, period.
Uncharted 2 was close to cross that line but it worked, but Uncharted 3 is freaking stupid in that department.
The reason why it works in Halo is because they got a shield first and armor second, it makes sense, just like Section 8 for example. Why? its sci fi.
In Killzone 2 was shit, 3 was slightly better so I didnt complain.
The kill damage has to make sense in what period and what athestic the game is, Uncharted is modern, realistic, and they only wear a shirt and pants, its not suppose to be half the clip to full clip to kill someone, its plain stupid.
If you dont want to die quick, use cover, be more tactical and dont make it into a rush-and-gun CoD-third person adventure edition.
I have read countless of comments how people hate the amount of health the players have in this one while Uncharted 2 had so little and perfect.
I hate bulletsponge in shooters with a passion, especially if they arent monters, mutants or have high tech armor/shields.
.
Around 7-8 shots is perfect when nobody has armor or shield on.
It has to make sense if you are going to make it modern and realistic, having insane health is pure crap.
Why isnt Battlefield like this then? why not? its not COD so it should be the same as Uncharted.
No, its bad, plain simple.
Its not fun to keep running a few feet from eachother like headless chickens shooting half a clip or more to kill someone, its crap and just not fun and looks aweful.
The one with best aim and quicker reflex to get in like 7-8 shots should win the gunfight, simple.
Even in Crysis were there is armor it takes faster to kill than Uncharted 3.
I hope Naughty Dog's next IP is designed with multiplayer in mind (Space marines vs aliens, doodz in big armour etc) The mulitplayer just doesn't fit Uncharted at all (I kinda enjoyed Uncharted 2's multiplayer mind you)

Sick of people wanting every game to play the same. I dont want uncharted to be a third person COD. I want it to be it's own thing. And currently, it is. Although ND ruined U2 due to the COD noobs wanting the damage model changing, so i expect that to happen again. Shame
Good read on Naughty Dog history, looks like Sony is suffocating the studio (Mass Effect delay quote). Amazing how their studios in Japan get 5 - 6 years to develop one game while a quality studio like Naughty Dog is forced and burdened with deadlines. Unbelievable!
Kinda makes me wonder if Naughty Dog will split from Sony like Bugie did from Microsoft. I kinda hope they do, Naughty Dog should have stayed independent like Valve
Killstreaks, perks, yep, not very COD-ish.
The only thing non-COD is the 3rd person adventure style.
I find it so amusing how you keep saying noob to those who want quick kills and quick deaths in a game were it makes no sense to have insane health and low bullet damage, do you honestly think that? if so, very pathethic.
@Doom_Bringer
The MP side of Uncharted 2 (after patch) was very fun after you completed the SP, its just a bonus to still play Uncharted but not wanting to see the same cutscenes and so on over and over again.

Prepare To Drop!!
Frankly i'm glad devs dont cater to your every beck and call. It would make for an incredibly shitty MP experience.
