Sorry to post this, but i have been waiting to see something at E3 about White Knight Story.

Was there any mention of it at all, or has everyone forgotten about it? :X

They had some tidbit info on it few weeks before E3, saying it was coming out in 2008 and it is supposed to have in depth online features, but that was about it. Expect some more info at TGS

On either the Sony event or at the TGS more footage will be showned, that's bin confirmed...if not changed.

Game convention (not sure about the name) in Leipzig not sure when that is though, I think October/November.

They do, but WKS won't be there. It will be shown at TGS, or maybe a bit early in a Famitsu preview.

oh ok, well i hope to see something soon, i hope the game turns out to be like i have seen in the trailers, and that has a relationship with ff13, the "fighting bar" at the botom seems to be like ff13s, :X, ill keep my fingers crossed X and my mouth crossed for this game :X

It seems that way. Which is why that screen looks a bit jonky, but the other one looks very lush and gorgeous, some AA and it'd look amazing.

well ya but people were talking about the past trailer as not being full cg considering they were running around and fighting... o well it is only screenshots, i just hope it doesnt look exactly like these new screenshots

game is looking fine to me. Can't wait to see a new video, and they're probably be a demo since there has been one for most of Level 5's past games.

Yeah i remember that talk also, but i think it was the dev's that came out and said they were using in-game assets?

Well i hope they were using something, because by now we all know pictures dont always justify games. i have amazing hopes for this game, i just hope it doesnt get shattered. Also, that they stick to their fighting style, because it looks really unique.

PlayStation Premier: White Knight Story Playable at TGS
Producer Akihiro Hino demos game before Japanese press.

At last year's Tokyo Game Show, Dragon Quest and Rogue Galaxy developer Level 5 surprised everyone with the unveiling of an original PlayStation 3 RPG, White Knight Story. This year, the game will return to TGS once again, only this time in playable form!

But before that, Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino brought a playable version of the game to Sony's PlayStation Premier press conference in Tokyo today and played it live before the press.

According to Famitsu.com's account of the demonstration, Hino began by first showing off the game's character creation system. Players will be able to create their own likeness for inclusion in the game, making use of a detailed character creation tool. This tool is so robust that Level 5 itself used it to create the main characters and 1000 or so NPC characters that appear in the game.

The demonstration proceeded to the battle field next, with a demonstration of the battle preparation screen that was shown in last year's trailer. Unlike that trailer, though, Hino's demonstration focused on a battle between the giant White Knight character and an equally giant demon. Apparently, while the two giants are fighting, smaller human-sized characters and enemies continue their own fighting below.

Hino concluded by stating that Level 5 is working away to bring the quality up for the game's playable debut at the September Tokyo Game Show. Just a few months, and the public (including you if you're hardcore enough to fly out to Japan) will be able to get hands on time with next generation RPG gaming from Level 5.

It was pretty clear at the time that the trailer was CGI and was obviously a target render.

Level 5 are fairly good dev's at least in terms of graphics, so i expect it to get better.
