This is prolly gonna sound like a sad cover for the devs or something, but I really didn't like the look of the trailer. I'm sure it's possible to go back somehow and find a quote from when the trailer was unveiled. In fact I'm gonna see if I can find it...

I agree about westernised. The realistic approach to the world art almost make the characters seem out of place. You're like "what's up with his pointy face and tiny mouth?".

Not that I'd like it better if they too looked realistic, but I'd really prefer it if the world art was equally detached from reality.

Yeah, the trailer is definitely some sort of target footage.
From here, way back in the day.

In my opinion, the fact that the world blends better with the characters from not being lit as realistically is just a good thing.

Yep ur right a poor cover attempt for the devs :p

We ALL judge games by the screens or videos we are given(no matter how early or late in development they are), its the nature of the beast... and from the target render shown to the screens we are seeing at the moment, its a pretty poor comparison as of now.

Well you have to admit it was a pretty elaborate scheme to cover for the devs in the future. :)

Unless of course I devised a time travelling machine to go back and alter my initial response to the trailer. :O

Level 5 are fairly good dev's at least in terms of graphics, so i expect it to get better.

Well you know, the graphics werent crazy, like it couldnt be done at all. since it is going to be a year since the last showing of the game, i "expect" that cgi to be the same graphics ingame. I also "hope" that its even better, considering you can never have too good of a graphic engine on a game :)

But at least september will show us something, and if its not going to be like the trailer showen before, then hands down to Level 5 as being bastards. :)
