A few months back we really thought Dead Island 2 was dead and buried but after the recent previews and the latest trailer, it seems to be very much alive and kicking. We're actually looking forward to playing it when the game launches next year, what about you?
After The Lords of the Fallen, another sequel rises from the dead after 8 years of absence. Plaion (the new Koch Media) indeed revealed not one, but two brand new videos of Dead Island 2. The first one is a CG trailer in the same mood as the 2014 reveal video while the second shows the actual 3D engine and some gameplay clips. Last but not least, we have been given a release date for the game: it will ship on February 3 2023 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Gamescom is upon us, with the two conferences given by Microsoft and Sony tomorrow, but Koch Media and Deep Silver have decided to draw their weapons first with this new Dead Island 2 trailer. We should be able to put our bloody hands on the game this week, so stay tuned!
Deep Silver has announced Dead Island 2 at E3 and this time it's Yager (Spec Ops: The Line) that takes care of the development. The title is set to release in Spring 2015 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
