Diving back into Dead Space 2 has reminded us how great the series was before EA committed the third episode which became the franchise's downfall. Playing the first 20 minutes of this sequel made us quite impatient to see what EA will do with the upcoming remake of the first opus. Until then, FPS Boost is a great way to revisit this classic when you don't own a PC. Lords of the Fallen isn't as highly praised of course, but the new 60 fps framerate makes it more comfortable to play. It's just a shame the game came out at the time when only Xbox One was available because image quality is rather disappointing compared to that of the titles which were released later on Xbox One X.

Here are seven screens of the Severed DLC from Dead Space 2 which is available today on Xbox Live and tomorrow on PSN.

A new trailer for Dead Space 2 has been released. It extends the game story with the addition of two stand-alone single-player chapters. It will be available March 1 worldwide on Xbox LIVE Marketplace and the PlayStation Network in North America for $6.99 or 560 MS Points and March 2 on the PlayStation Network in Europe.

Dead Space 2 was released not so long ago but if you already finished it, you will be able to play a bit longer with this first DLC announced for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Called "Severed", this content will give access to two new chapters related to characters from Dead Space Extraction.

Since EA sent us a copy of the Xbox 360 version of Dead Space 2, we decided to show you a bit more of the game with three exclusive videos focused on a particular theme. Rest assured that we chose spoiler-free sequences so you can watch freely without ruining the surprise. This sequel is obviously a bit similar to the first game but one can't deny how effective this ghost train ride is when you like the genre. Four difficulty settings are available right from the start (you can unlock a hard core mode once the game is completed) and we advise you not to choose the first two (corresponding to easy and normal) as they are not challenging enough to make you feel like you are struggling for survival. The videos were captured in Zealot mode (the fourth one) and I must confess I have had a hard time making it through a few scenes with limited ammo.

After our own videos yesterday, the scary Dead Space 2 is getting two more promtional videos this morning. The first one is actually a Dev Diary focused on the impressive lighting effects of the game, while the second video features Louis Leterrier, the French film director, and explains the making of the characters. Beware though, the second video is in French only, without any subtitles whatsoever.

I'm afraid to carry on...I've lost count how many times I jumped whilst playing Dead Space 2 but what an awesome experience I'm having. Check out the first 10 minutes of the amazing Dead Space 2. More Videos coming!

Dead Space 2 will have a multiplayer mode, maybe for a better understanding of the Necromorphs as this trailer could suggest it or simply to frighten your opponents.
