While the Xbox One was already granted its own Fanatec steering wheel in 2015, Playstation 4 owners had to wait one more year to have a taste at a higher-end wheel. Since 2016, the German manufacturer has finally proposed a version of the CSL Elite which is officially compatible with Sony's console. For our first full-written review of 2017, we have decided to give you our detailed impressions on this (quite expensive) piece of hardware, with a bunch of off-screen videos showing the wheel in action and even a fully translated video review. Because it's a first on Gamersyde, we would love to hear what you think about this kind of article so we know if this review was well worth the efforts we've put into it. Enjoy!

Today is a sunny day in Paris, so we're taking you back to Forza Motorsport 7 in the Xbox One X rain. If you want to see a bit more of the Nordschleife in 4K, you know what to do.

It doesn't seem we'll be able to catch a break any time soon, more games have received an Xbox One X update since yesterday, so here is more coverage in super high quality. Forza Motorsport 7 looks way cleaner than before it was patched, while Rise of the Tomb Raider offers several choices to choose from (some of which do not go without a few framerate issues). We're not quite sure how Dead Rising 4 benefits from the patch it was given, but whatever it is, it does not make the game look especially better. Framerate may be smoother overall, there might be a small bump on resolution over the original release, but we don't know exactly. The game is HDR compatible now though.
Note: Except for the Forza 7 video and the first 2 TR videos, the footage we posted has no sound due to a technical issue we didn't spot before recording.

Forza Motorsport 7 may be available to those who have purchased the Ultimate Edition of the game, but we still intend to share as many videos as possible with you guys. Deactivating the Game Mode in the Windows settings seemed to have improved our stuttering problem, until we had to suffer a few more random drops, and even a massive one at some point, just like before. Aside from that, we're having a great time with the game.

As evoked in our previous news article, we will be live playing Forza Motorsport 7 tonight at 9:15 CEST. We'll most likely be showing the PC version despite the stuttering problems we are experiencing, so don't be late.

You might wonder why we have no review of Forza Motorsport 7 ready for the end of the embargo, but the reason is pretty simple to explain. Microsoft France was only given the review copies yesterday and we received ours at around 5:30 pm. Given the time needed to download the 95 GB, we had to make a choice so we picked the PC version, therefore delaying our Xbox One coverage. Needless to say we didn't have much time to practice, especially considering that 4K videos take much longer to encode. Still, we have a bunch of things to share with you, just in time. It's not perfect, even in terms of performance, as our rig strangely seems to struggle with the game whatever the resolution we choose. We'll try to understand why there is so much random stuttering like in the demo, but until we figure that out (or the devs), enjoy our footage!
Note: We plan on releasing Xbox One S HDR videos before the week-end and we might even livestream the game tonight.

Forza Motorsport 7's demo is available since yesterday on Windows 10 and Xbox One. Here are some PC videos played with a wheel, in 1440p60, all settings to the max, resolution scale set to 200% and MSAA 4x.

We were invited a few weeks ago to London for a showcase event of the upcoming Xbox titles, and of course of the Xbox One X itself. The embargo is up today for our 4K videos of Forza Motorsport 7 running on the upcoming Microsoft console. This build was complete but not quite yet finalized, so as such there are some things from the career mode that didn't run well enough for me to show. Also please forgive the more than average driving in these videos, sim racers are not my thing and I only had a tad more than 30 minutes to get used to the game and do the captures.
