Since yesterday, Gears of War (the original 360 game and the Ultimate Edition), GoW 2, GoW 3 and GoW Judgment can be played with a smooth 60 frames per second framerate thanks to FPS Boost. We're taking you back in time in the following video so buckle up, where we're going, we don't need roads!

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition took its time to be released and we must say we expected a lot more in terms of performance. There seems to be a problem with the frame rate everytime the game must stream the next part of the level in campaign mode. This results in noticeable frame drops that are hard to accept on high end rigs like Miguel's (Intel i7 5930K @ 4.6 GHz, Asus X99-Deluxe, 16 GB DDR4 1600 MHz, NVIDIA Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti G1 GAMING 6 GB @ 1492/7200 MHz). Also disappointing is the fact that all the game's cutscenes are 30 fps videos, just like on Xbox One. We have a bunch of videos ready for you guys so you can see for yourself and make up your own mind about the port.

By now you're probably well aware of the Gamersyde karma. Yesterday, after just being back from vacation, we tried to launch Gears of War: Ultimate Edition to prepare a few videos for this morning. Even though we did use the unlock code to launch the game early, it kept telling us to check the store page for the release date, which we didn't of course. After trying to download the whole game again to make sure there hadn't been an issue the first time, we were still stuck. This morning though, we had the curiosity to check the store page, and you know what? The game could be launched from there... Hence the rush to capture a few gameplay videos for you guys. Enjoy anyway!

Our friend Dark10x is back from Microsoft with an awesome surprise: he got to record his gameplay session of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, in single player mode. So here is the first one, with a second one to come.

Our friend CpRBe was kind enough to capture three 1080p/60fps videos of the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition beta which has been available for a few days on Xbox One. He told us he was quite rusty as he hadn't played the game for ages but if it's any consolation, it'd have been worse if I had been playing.
