Sony confirmed that a PC version of God of War will soon be made available and they released a trailer showing how well it will run at 4K/60. The game will come out on January 14 2022 so players won't need to wait for too long now. We only have the YouTube version of the trailer but it'll have to do.
Our first 2 videos of God of War on PS5 had a serious sound issue we hadn't noticed before posting them so here is another one that fixes the problem. Thanks to a patch which unlocked the game's framerate, it now runs at a smooth 60 fps at maximum resolution and it's even more enjoyable to play.
God of War has been patched so PS5 owners can enjoy the game in 4K/60fps and we have to say it looks phenomenal. If you have a PS5 and you haven't played it, now is really the time to catch up. We recorded some footage for you guys, one video os ready and the second one is encoding. Enjoy!
While we're still fighting hard on our review of God of War, we can now finally propose some 4K footage without any commentary so you can truly enjoy the game's soundtrack. Inside, you'll find clips recorded during the excellent prologue and a bonus in the form of a video showcasing the wind effect on Kratos' beard and the fur of his armor. That's not all though, we also have a 90-minute Gamersyde Offline in which we present the game to you. Enjoy!
Note: When we recorded the GSY Offline video, there was a loop with the game's audio, which is why you'll heard some echo. Gamersyde will always be Gamersyde.
We still had a few minutes of God of War to share with you, this time with the proper area display settings on our PS4 Pro. In these 2 last videos recorded in resolution mode once again, we're showing you a bit more combat sequences and some simple exploration mechanics at the beginning of the adventure. Except maybe for the really huge monster at the end of the first video, there are absolutely no more spoilers here than there were in hte footage we showed a few days ago. Enjoy!
Three days was not enough to complete God of War and be ready for the end of the embargo with a review, so we decided to take our time and to give you our verdict later, when we actually can. We didn't want to leave you empty-handed though, so we worked like the devil to have some commented footage on Gamersyde this morning. Don't be too hard on us as we could only record it yesterday evening and we basically had no choice but to improvise. We hope you'll appreciate the effort and will be pleased with our content.
Note: All our footage was recorded using the graphics mode which favors resolution. Sadly, for some unknown reason, the display area settings of our PS4 Pro had been reinitialized and all our captures were recorded while the game was not displayed in full screen. Because we were in such a rush to have our coverage ready in due time, we did not notice it and for that we are deeply sorry. The game is obviously full screen.
Just a month before the release of God of War, here are two videos that promote the game. First a pretty CGI TV spot and second the 'War on the Floor' projection mapping ad that happened February 10 on the Golden State Warriors' Oracle Arena, turning the whole court into a snowy Nordic battlefield with Kratos and Atreus fighting off foes.
The release date of the much awaited new God of War has been unveiled today. Kratos and Atreus will begin their journey on April 20 with various editions available. A new story trailer inside.
Sony released this rather short gameplay sequence of God of War for the Paris Games Week. I found some animations a bit awkward, but maybe it's just me?
