Grand Theft Auto V is coming this week and unless we're mistaken it's the fourth time it's been released! In this new edition of the game, Rockstar included three graphics modes to choose from on current gen consoles. Fidelity mode runs at 4k/30fps with ray tracing, Performance RT targets 60 whenever possible while keeping ray tracing effects activated while Performance mode seems to provide a smoother framerate without ray tracing. We haven't had time to play the game much so it's impossible to tell you what mode you should go for so check out our long gameplay video and let us know what you think. Just so you know, we launched the game in Performance RT mode and then switched to Fidelity and finally Performance.

We finally received our GTX 1080 Founder's Edition and decided to give Watch_Dogs and Grand Theft Auto V a new ride to see what the added horsepower could bring to the overall experience. Rockstar's title allows for more maxed out options than with our SLI of 970s, but the biggest improvement can be noticed in Ubisoft's game, which can now run at 60 fps in very high settings. Since the first presentation of Watch_Dogs 2 somehow reminded a bit of GTA V's art style, it felt natural to bring both games together in this news article. Our first steps in the PC version of GTA Online started yesterday evening and we aimlessly wandered around Los Santos and its surroundings with all settings maxed out. Even with our rig (i5 4670K @ 4.0 GHz, 8 Go RAM, Windows 8.1, SLI of 970s), we couldn't avoid a few frame drops but overall it's safe to say that the PC port of Grand Theft Auto V is definitely well-optimized. Yesterday's patch caused some severe issues performance-wise though, but it will most certainly be fixed in the days to come. Not everyone is concerned as I had no problem while Miguel now finds the game completely unplayable. Check out our four gameplay videos captured at 1080p/60fps.
Update: 1440p (DSR) benchmark added. We overclocked the processor a tad more and lowered down the distance scaling option a little bit.

The much anticipated PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is finally available since a few hours, and our first impressions are quite good, it looks like this is a very well optimized port! Our first videos are inside, running with everything maxed out except with MSAA4x, no TXAA and softest shadows on a SLI of 970 and an i5 @4Ghz.

Rockstar Games has put online this Heists TV spot for Grand Theft Auto V. All updates and online contents released so far will be available with the PC version on April 14th.
